Raekwon Feat. Lil Wayne – My Corner
For 25 years, Raekwon has been one of the most sought out voices in music; a true originator of lyricism, street fashion and inventive music. On 3-24-2017 the legendary emcee will release his seventh solo album The Wild. Released through his own IceH20 imprint along with EMPIRE, the album is a stark commentary on both the world and the music industry–everything is wild, Rae notes, alluding to his new album’s symbolic title.
With so much uncertainty in the world, it’s never been more apparent that this jungle needs order; and as the apex predator within hip-hop’s jungle, Raekwon plans to restore order with The Wild.
Today, via an exclusive premiere with Rolling Stone, Raekwon releases the second single from The Wild, “My Corner,” which features Lil Wayne.
“Wayne is a charismatic individual and his flows are dumb delightful” Raekwon commented to Rolling Stone. “I studied him way back and appreciated the opportunity to trade bars with him. I always heard his voice on this and I was very pleased hearing him tap dance on a different style of production. “My Corner” is a flashback to them good ole terrible blocks and we take you back to all black outfits. This record must be played at high volume.”

Trina & Trick Daddy Are Dropping An Album Together
This one is definitely a long time coming. As spotted on Mass Appeal, where you can read the full story:
In the late ‘90s, Trick Daddy Dollars discovered Trina, a rising female rapper with a slick mouth and grimy bars. The pair recorded “Nann N***a,” a street banger that would change their lives, and their hometown, forever. Nearly 20 years later, Trick Daddy and Trina are planning to bring back their unforgettable, hardcore Miami sound with a brand new joint project.
“Yesterday me and Trina signed a deal for a ‘Trick & Trina’ collabo album. So we bringing the city back,” Trick Daddy tells Mass Appeal. “I just want this Trick & Trina record to be classic. I’m going to turn the Diamond Princess back to the Baddest Bitch.”
“[The collaboration album is] just something the fans always wanted, and now we’re officially going to make it happen,” Slip N’ Slide CEO Ted Lucas says. “Trick put Miami on the map with gangsta music, which was different from all perspectives. When Miami was known for booty shaking, Trick was able to change the culture of what people thought about of Miami music, and Trina was able to put female rappers on the map. We’re excited about it, and looking forward to it.”
