Holy smokes Batman — today we get a new track from the legendary De La Soul. Not only that, they will be dropping a mixtape (entirely produced by J Dilla) titled Smell The Da.I.S.Y. (Da Inner Soul of Yancy) March 26th. Doesn’t end there, either…both Premiem Soul On The Rocks (a full mixtape produced by DJ Premier & Pete Rock) and the forthcoming album You’re Welcome are on the way as well.
You’re welcome, indeed.

Yo Gotti and his squad are gearing up to drop CMB Presents: Chapter 1, and the below track is taken from that forthcoming release.
ALBUM STREAM: Asher Roth – RetroHash
Random thought: I still think that Asher Roth’s ‘His Dream’ is one of the best Hip-Hop songs (or best songs, period) to come into existence. I kid you not. With that said, I do hope that we get some of that same depth on his new Blended Babies-produced RetroHash. You can do like me and check that theory using the above album stream, or simply show your support with a purchase here.
Boots Feat. Beyoncé – Dreams
A big feature for Roc Nation artist Boots’ latest, ‘Dreams’.
Sidenote: the purchase of this single will help fund the non-profit organization Day One, which is in place to help end dating abuse.

Czar & Beezy – The New Cheech & Chong (Hosted By Red Grant)
Comedian Red Grant presents The New Cheech and Chong starring Golden Ticket Gang members Czar and Beezy. The Virginia based duo live up to the lofty moniker with this beyond solid project. No need for any of the usual hyperbole this one can stand on it’s own merit. Give the Bob Marley video a play and I guarantee you’ll want to check out the rest of the project. If this looks familiar you may have recently seen Czar performing with BYB or the duo promoting the album on the most recent Katt Williams tour.
Lykke Li Feat. A$AP Rocky – No Rest For The Wicked (Remix)

Cloud Control – Praise You (Fatboy Slim Cover)
London-based Cloud Control dropped a new cover for Record Store day, which was Saturday. The band managed to tackle “Praise You” by Fatboy Slim fairly well, with great transitions and a wonderful vibe. I’m hoping to hear more from these four in the future. Apparently this tune will be on the limited-edition “Infectious 5” vinyl compilation, celebrating 5 years of the UK label Infection Music. There might be a few copies left out of the 500 made out there, so grab one if you get the chance.
Also, I forgot to say that Earmilk had the premiere…
Seven Jackson – Sab’ah EP
I totally forgot to post this the other day…SMG’s main artist Seven Jackson drops his latest project, which appears to be a play on Ka’aba, Islam’s most sacred mosque. The DC native/Fa$tlife affiliate has a eerie, trap-style sound to back his braggadocios lyrics. Features and beats from CEPH, Lord Java, Bucky Malone, SHVRVZ and Chris Fresh from 808 Mafia.
