Nipsey Hussle – Hotel Suite
Nipsey Hussle drops some free crack for the fans….the West Coast emcee is currently rocking stages across the country as part of his Crenshaw tour.
Little Mix – Word Up!
Little Mix have created a new single for BBC’s Sports Relief campaign (you can check out pics of their work in Liberia above), of which the sales of the single will go towards easing poverty in some of the world’s poorest nations.
‘Word Up!’ is officially released 16th March — you can show your support and preorder on iTunes. Check out a stream of the track below (it probably won’t be around for long).
P-Wild (@Pwild_Sb4l) – All I Know
Since we’re all snowed in today, we can all enjoy P-wild’s latest record, entitled ‘All I Know’. I don’t know where this shit will end up but it f***ing cranks.
@Sampha_ – Sundanza (EP)
You really shouldn’t be reading this (the stream and download is below), but if you’d like to know the basis of Sampha’s instrumental effort, check out what he had to say below:
Sundanza is a collection of early productions of mine. While away on some adventures away from home my brother accidentally deleted the master files from my computer so they exist only as low quality unmastered mp3s. It was originally released on very limited hand sprayed CD-R’s in 2010, but I decided to make it available again with all income going directly to the Youth Cancer Trust.
Tink (@Official_Tink) – Winter’s Diary 2 (Mixtape)
Although we have posted some of her releases in 2013, Tink first grabbed my attention in WSSH’s new documentary about Chicago’s rap scene. Then, last night, I heard her on a song called ‘Kilo’ from Lil Bibby & Lil Herb’s mixtape Heir Apparents. Looking for more of her music, I came across her new mixtape Winter Diary 2 which dropped a few weeks ago….I’ve taken the liberty of adding that project here as well. Tracklisting and link below.

ScHoolboy Q – Break The Bank (Prod. Alchemist)

ALBUM STREAM: Step Brothers – Lord Steppington
The Alchemist and Evidence have been allowing the fans to stream their new collaboration Lord Steppington, which you can check out below. As far as making the purchase, it’s official out now — you can pick it up digitally on iTunes and Amazon or lock in a special version (which includes the CD, vinyl and a T-shirt) here.
Alicia Keys – Power
@Example – Kids Again
Released March 16th on Epic Records…it seems like everything the man makes is an anthem for the arenas (not a diss — it will cause an earthquake at any festival). With that said, this one has a bit of old Example blended in for good measure.
Beck – Blue Moon
Beck’s Morning Phase drops February 25th….if you preorder that (you can do so here), his latest single above is yours to download and enjoy.
Young Thug & Bloody Jay – No F***
I believe that this is the same B. Jay that worked with Rocko. Anyway, Jay and Young Thug’s collaborative Black Portland drops January 21st (tomorrow).
Young Thug x Meek Mill – “Hundreds (I Had a Dream)”
Happy Martin Luther King day. None of this would be possible without him.
Young Thug pays his respects to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. for MLK Day on his new track with Meek Mill. Produced by Metro Boomin.
@BrazenBoy – Step 2 & 3
Roll Deep’s Brazen drops the second and third steps in his new freestyle series (we missed the first). Step 3 (produced by Rude Kid) is above….the below second ‘Step’ was produced by Masro.
Ballout Feat. OJ Da Juiceman – Cinderella
I forgot all about DJ Kenn, who produced this record. Check out the latest from Ballout (who may or may not still be with Keef following the supposed dissolution of GBE) and OJ Da Juiceman. Ay!
Pacman & Peso – Escape To North Korea (Video)
These two actually pulled it off. D.C. rappers Pacman and Peso have managed to film a full music video (possibly the first, ever) in North Korea. Holy shit…..the song isn’t half bad, either.
They also spoke to Billboard about there reasons for going:
The two rappers said their trip shied away from politics.
“I mean we did not go there to be political. We just go down there to shoot our video and that about the reason why we went, not political,” said Pacman – whose real name is Anthony Bobb.
The duo from the Washington area spoke to reporters at an airport in Beijing upon their return from a five-day trip to North Korea.
“Nobody shot a video in North Korea, let alone thought of it. Nobody even thought of making a video in North Korea. You know what I’m saying?” said Peso, whose real name is Dontray Ennis.
They raised more than $10,000 on the crowdsourcing site Kickstarter to fund their trip.
LBD ft. Flossy (SSG) – Twerk (Prod. Eddy Niz)
So Sour Gang is a collective out of Tennessee that has mastered the group dynamic and songwriting at a young age. Taking influences from Pro Era, and A$AP Mob, these guys do the natural 808’s over classic-style sampling that works quite well. “Twerk” has LBD and Flossy rapping quickly over an Eddy Niz beat with a guitar sample and the Beastie Boy’s “The New Style”, not anything new, but that doesn’t always matter, certainly not in this case. Check these guys out because they have talent and promise.
Check This Out! Two Kids Killin’ It On The Streets Of NY #ACAPELLA
These two young talents, presumably from NY, perform a DOPE acapella song for everyone to enjoy on the streets of New York.
MØ (@MOMOMOYOUTH) – Don’t Wanna Dance
This record was first premiered courtesy of Zane Lowe’s Hottest Record First Play. MØ’s debut album No Mythologies To Follow is released 10th March.
@JaeRaww Feat. @N8202 – Ridin Roun’ (@1Huncho_)
The latest release from JaeRaww is produced by SANTANA. No other information on this, but the song has a very chill (think Houston-ish) vibe. Definitely something to ride and smoke to.
