Meek Mill – Ooh Kill Em (Kendrick Lamar Diss)

nnlV0dK
As Meek prepares for his Dreamchasers 3, he drops off some more new music on Philly’s Power 99 via DJ Cosmic Kev, called ‘Ooh Kill Em’ . This record is a dissed toward Kendrick Lamar over few West Coast classic samples. ‘Dreamchasers 3′ mixtape dropping September 29th. I don’t think Meek Mill want it with Kendrick Lamar but only time will tell.

Rick Ross is getting ready for his album Mastermind and gives us another single with Future. This production from Justice League speaks to my soul, Rozay you got one my nigga. This may be the record Ross has been waiting for. Maybe we will get Mastermind by the end of the year. #GhettoGodNiggaShit

Freddie Gibbs & Madlib – Deeper

fgibbs

Taken from the Deeper EP.

On the Deeper EP, Gibbs showcases the yin and yang of heartbreak and anger on the title track, in a lovelorn narrative that meshes perfectly with the weepy strings and insistent rhythm of Madlib’s beat. We haven’t heard something like this in rap music since Nas’ “One Love,” nearly twenty years ago. The b-side, “Harolds” – exclusive to this EP – gives Gibbs a chance to ride some low down Beat Konducta-fueled funk in a nostalgic ode to the Chicago chicken-shack that served as the backdrop to many of his seminal life experiences.
