What piqued my interest in this soundtrack was the fact that it was executive produced by Lebron James, and I wondered what music would come from the mind of one of the greatest modern athletes out there. It turns out that Bron Bron is just as mundane as today’s radio. If you’re interested in a listen, the stream for the project is below.
Tracklist, stream and download link above (obviously).
Known for her bass-centric fusion of Dubstep, Drum & Bass and Hip-Hop, MiMi Storm now strikes with this new seven-track EP “MiMi In Wonderland”. From her debut mixtape release “Storm After The Rain” and single “P.M.F.T” taken from the MiMi In Wonderland EP, MiMi Storm has put in the necessary work to take her sound from Grime to an awesome niche she calls “ Futuristic Wave”. “It’s music you can zone to by connecting to an emotion”.
GBE’s SD dropped a new mixtape a couple of days a go that I accidently overlooked….Life Of A Savage 3 boasts features from Gino Marley, Riff Raff, Ballout and more with production from the likes of KE on the Track, YG on the Beat, Southside on the Track (WTF is up with these producer’s names?) and more. Tracklist, stream and download link below.
This video is supposed to show someone named G-Star putting Foxy Brown on blast for stealing some weave; I can’t really tell, other than the fact that it does appear to be the rapper in the Instagram clip. As far as what she is doing exactly, you be the judge.
Taken from Jay Sean’s forthcoming album Neon, due July 30th. I’m going to need both artists to get more creative than this.
N.O.R.E., Yung Realie and Vado make up the Good Belt Gang (I’d love to get an explanation from N.O.R.E. on that name’s meaning, although it’s probably way simpler than I’m making it) and above is their latest single, out now on iTunes.
In this episode of our web-series, meet G-Eazy. Hear him talk about touring with Wayne, how he prepares for his shows, and meeting ladies on the road.
So many questions….whose song is this exactly? What project will it appear on? Why is Kay Slay on here?
This almost sounds like a branch from Erykah’s Badu’s tree. Very soulful. Check out the latest from Emily Kay below.
This was in response to a recent clip where Timbaland spoke on Aaliyah’s music (and the modern day artists who use it….in this case, Chris Brown). Tweets below.
Georgia Anne Muldrow gives us her GEEEmix of Bilal’s very dope tune, ‘Little One’, which was originally an ode to Bilal’s son. Check it out below.
A little while ago, we posted on Bird’s collaboration with Little Brother; today, we get to listen to the entire project, which is available now for purchase on his Bandcamp. Stream and purchase/download link below.

New art/music collaboration from Black Milk & Upendo.
It’s rare for me to give people a listen or a glimpse into what I’m working on when it’s still in its experimental stages, but recently Upendo & I have been bouncing music and art illustration ideas back & forth and decided to post some of these rough drafts online. We call this piece “The Kraft.” – Black Milk
Apparently, Mikky Ekko was inspired from the tragedy that was the London riots when he created ‘Kids’. Check out that, plus his performance of the track for Your Truly above.
