Deniro Farrar (@DeniroFarrar) – The Patriarch (Album)

tumblr_mjijolDCWZ1r0mvrho1_500

Charlotte’s Deniro Farrar raps over ethereal tracks of Lil B’ affiliated producers Keyboard Kid and Friendzone as well as big name producers Ryan Hemsworth and Flosstradamus (forerunners in the Trap movement). But Deniro isn’t like Lil B and he isn’t like this new “Trap” music that has come out). This is hard street rap over amazing production, its that simple. Azealia Banks – Yung Rapunxel

I think I get the Rapunzel reference: in the track, you can hear the soft chant “I want to be free”. Anyway, she’s finally freed some music instead of us hearing another news story about who did doesn’t like…..and to me, it’s kind of underwhelming. The positive is that it’s probably the kind of track that will turn an arena on it’s head during a performance. Produced by Lil’ Internet.

What are your thoughts on the record (Elliott Wilson voice)?
