The latest episode of the Pitchfork.tv series “Selector†is pretty special. In a deviated from the usual “Selector†formula (in which rappers choose from two beats produced by indie artists for a freestyle backing track), we brought Dipset MC Jim Jones and mashup maestro Girl Talk together in Jones’ Nomad District studio. Together, they created a new track: “Believe in Magicâ€, produced by Girl Talk using a sample of 1970s soul group Honey Cone’s “Want Ads†and freestyled by Jones. Jones liked the results much that he brought in R&B crooner Lloyd to contribute a hook and plans to release it as a single in the near future. – Pitchfork
