“I decided to start off May by just putting some thoughts out for the fans. I’m working on a lot of things but sometimes it feels like I’m not doing anything. So to quench the thirst of the people, I will be releasing Fearless which is a first of 7 releases with streamless conscious flowing. Aka a freestyle that’s actually thought out and well written.
First one is my attempt at tackling Drake’s Fear. I called up a couple of my fans and let them hear the verse as well as even putting a conf call # out to cipher with them. I have a deep appreciation for my followers and I hope this accepted by them.†Mickey
Bun B Speaks On The Anniversary Of Big Hawk’s Murder (5/1)
“Yesterday was May 1, 2011. For most people, it was just another day. In many countries, it represented International Workers Day, or Labour Day. Here in the city of Houston, this date carries extra significance. It was five years ago today that John “Big Hawk†Hawkins, a member of Houston’s Screwed Up Click, was murdered. His loss was felt by all in Houston’s hip-hop community, as he was well known and loved for his honesty, upbeat attitude and peaceful character. Tragically his own brother, Patrick “Fat Pat†Hawkins, a fellow member of the Screwed Up Click, was also murdered just a few years prior. To this day, Hawk’s killer has never been found. We are saddened by his passing, but we are encouraged by his memory. He is survived by his wife and two sons. I think I speak for all SUC fans, as well as your family and friends, when I say we miss you Hawk. R.I.P.†– Bun B

Missile Command (Hip Hop Dan x Chad Hugo) – Foolcast 022
This is dope: a new Foolcast mix series, offered today by the DJ team consisting of Baltimore’s Hip Hop Dan and Neptunes own Chad Hugo. They’ll be working collaboratively under a new moniker called Missile Command.
