Looks like Ye is expanding his roster, as Glasgow producer Hudson Mohawke has signed on to the label alongside Hit-Boy (and other producers I’m probably not aware of):
I haven't left Warp, will continue to release music with Warp. I have signed with G.O.O.D./Kanye as a producer.
Lawyers for Rasheed Young — President of Run Athletics — sent Russell and Rev. Run a letter back in November, accusing the brothers of secretly funneling millions in revenue from their Pastry brand of footwear … into a company that Rasheed isn’t a part of.
Rasheed claims Pastry has raked in tens of millions in sales — and so far, he hasn’t seen a penny of it.
Sources close to Rasheed tell TMZ, Russell and Rev. Run have been stonewalling him ever since he sent the letter — refusing to respond to Rasheed’s demands — so now he’s cranking up the legal heat.
Rasheed’s demanding the Simmons brothers fix the screwed-up business structure ASAP … and pay him his share of the shoe profits. If they don’t, Rasheed says he’ll sue.
Calls to Russell and Rev. Run’s people haven’t been returned.
Looks like T.I. has no plans to stop winning post-prison anytime soon. From TMZ:
Sources close to T.I. tell TMZ … T.I.’s 10-year contract with Atlantic ran up only a month ago … but he’s already put together his own idea of a $75 million deal:
– 3 albums
– 10-20 percent of publishing, touring, merchandise, film and TV rights
– Corporate endorsement deals
– Exclusive signing of all Grand Hustle artists
Sources close to T.I. tell TMZ … he’s already met with some of the industry’s biggest names … including Dr. Dre, who asked him to join Interscope over dinner at Katana recently (see picture) … and Jay-Z, who wants T.I. in the RocNation family.
We’re told Sony’s put a $50 million deal on the table so far … and Universal’s meeting with him later this week to make an offer too.
The Grammy-winning R&B singer has been lined up to perform the national anthem before the NFL championship game on Feb. 3 in New Orleans, a person familiar with Super Bowl entertainment plans told The Associated Press on Friday.
The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the NFL has not yet announced the anthem singer.
Joey Bada$$ shuts down any immediate hopes that Hov is signing him to his label….unless he puts out that 3 million. From The Source:
“They actually announced it on the radio that I signed with them — that was dumb as f*ck,” Joey said in an interview. “Won’t sign to no major, for no wager, less than a 3 million offer of the top, I be in a box when my coffin drops, why settle for an office spot? That type of thing, you know. Not really, major labels is just not where my head is at right now, you know? [Independent?] Yeah, that’s more of where my head is at, ’cause that’s what I’m tryna to do, I’m tryna go more independent.”

I will be releasing a new EP called ELEVATE on FEB 12th on www.chamillionaire.com. The first 500 copies will be autographed and each autographed copy will be numbered. That means if you receive the 7th cd it will say 7/500 on it. There will ONLY be 500 autographed copies. I will only press up 1000 CDs total (Maybe I will make more later but if so I probably won’t make them available until later after the next one comes out). This way would make the amount of volume I have to ship easier for me to control. The CDs will ship on Monday February 11th and will release on Feb 12th. Elevate will have real songs on it and will probably have about 7 songs.
Everyone who pre – orders a physical copy will be emailed a download link at 2pm (Central Time) on Feb 12th. This means you will be able to listen to it at the exact moment it releases, before you receive your package in the mail, before All Star Weekend, and before someone else gets it and leaks it. That’s the best way I can ensure that the people who support get to hear it first.
The autographed copies will probably be sold out quick so I suggest you get one now if you prefer it be autographed. Sorry I will only be able to sign 500 a release. (Please don’t have a family member email me asking me to do anything different. It happens every time but this is already a lot of cds for me to autograph.)
Karrueche Tran is apparently taking jabs at ex Chris Brown because the aspiring model/fashion designer took to her Twitter page on Jan. 16 and quoted lyrics by Chris’ nemesis — the one and only Drake!
“I will have a model wife,” Karrueche tweeted from Drake’s song “Miss Me.”
Perhaps Karrueche is sending a very subliminal message to Chris by tweeting that line, suggesting she may be over him, romantically, for good.
As HollywoodLife.com reported Jan. 9, Karrueche admits spending time with the R&B star back in 2011 has been filled with many ups and a lots of downs and was just one trying emotional ride!

Police have released CCTV footage after a 23-year-old man suffered a broken jaw when he was attacked outside a pizza parlour in Birmingham.
Alex Kosuth-Phillips had been out celebrating his 23rd birthday on February 24 last year, when he was attacked outside a takeaway pizza shop in Selly Oak, Birmingham at just after 1am.
CCTV footage shows the moment the sales assistant was floored by a single punch, which broke his jaw in two places, and left him unable to eat solid food for three months.
Kosuth-Phillips said he was targeted because of his red hair: “All I remember is walking into the pizza parlour and there were two of them [the attacker and his friend] sat on the left hand side.
“One of them said something to my girlfriend, I asked what he said and he started swearing, becoming abusive and mocking my ginger hair.
“I said I didn’t need it and I was leaving. All I remember was opening the door and the next thing I knew I was in hospital, where I had to have two lots of surgery.”
Detective Constable Louise Corcoran, from West Midlands Police CID, said: “This was an unprovoked assault which left an innocent man knocked out cold and requiring surgery.
“The offender walked into the shop and made an offensive comment to him before hitting him in the face.
“It’s had a lasting effect on the victim, who has been left physically and emotionally scarred by the assault.
“We need to catch the person responsible and ensure justice is done.”
The Game decided to get his hometown tatted on his stomach — in Old English, no less — to cover up a previous tattoo that said ‘Stretch’ (which now makes us wonder what that old tattoo meant), while showing it to the world through Instagram in the process. More pics below.
Random: ‘Pour It Up’ might be the dopest track on the spin circuit right now. Anyways, here are the covers to the aforementioned single as well as ‘Stay’, which features what is probably some Chris Brown shit. Keep things controversial, I guess.
Wow, really making it more and more difficult to not see any kind of rift, though we’ll post his statement from a purely professional standpoint and hope that he’s not downplaying Big Boi’s latest remix for ‘Pink Matter‘ and the (soon to be released, we hope) ‘Sorry’ remix:
“It’s important for me to be clear about the origins of my contributions to ‘Pink Matter’ and ‘Sorry.’ I was approached as a solo artist by both Frank Ocean & Tip. I discussed musical direction with each artist and completed my verses. It was after that when Big Boi’s name came up.I never want to mislead our audience — I worried that some would think these were Outkast collaborations. These songs are not Outkast collaborations. I discussed this rationale with Big, Frank and T.I. and everyone agreed. That is why I was surprised to read about these remixes. I understand that anyone can put out an unofficial remix to any song but I have an obligation to be honest with fans about what this is . . . and what it isn’t.”
The U.K.’s last remaining main-street music retail chain, entered administration on Tuesday, highlighting the consumer shift toward online shopping and digital downloads.
HMV—which sells DVDs, CDs and other merchandise at its 243 stores—said that, after discussions with its creditors, it was unable to trade outside of insolvency protection and planned to appoint administrators from Deloitte LLP to oversee the sale or closure of the business. The decision could bring an end to 92 years of trading in the U.K. and puts more than 4,000 jobs at risk.
A number of private bidders are expected to make approaches for HMV, buyout firm Endless said. Endless said it had already spoken to Deloitte about buying the business out of administration, adding that there was still demand for physical products.
