Looks like Lil’ Wayne isn’t going to give up and pay that money just yet. From TMZ:

Weezy was ordered to pay Quincy $2,195,000 in the wake of the producer’s lawsuit against the rapper.

Wayne had claimed Quincy released a “scandalous” documentary about him, and used his music in the flick without his permission. Quincy shot back, claiming Wayne’s legal tantrum torpedoed his film’s profit potential by miring it in litigation. The jury decided in Quincy’s favor.

Now, Wayne’s filed docs declaring his intent to appeal the jury’s decision. He’s got a month to file the actual appeal itself.

Bobby Womack (@RealBobbyWomack) Diagnosed With Alzheimer’s Disease

From NME:

The 68-year-old, who released his first single in 1954, has admitted he struggles to recall the names of his songs and those of his collaborators.

He said: “The doctor says there are signs of Alzheimer’s. It’s not bad yet but will get worse.

He added: “How can I not remember songs I wrote? It’s frustrating. I don’t feel together yet. Negative things come in my mind and it’s hard for me to remember sometimes.”

Womack, who beat colon cancer in May, released his most-recent album ‘The Bravest Man In The Universe’ in 2012, which was co-produced by Blur’s Damon Albarn and XL Recordings co-founder Richard Russell.

He added: “The most embarrassing thing is I’ll be ready to announce Damon and can’t remember his last name.”

This could be in reference to his appearance at an awards ceremony in September when he called Albarn ‘Damon Osbourne’ in his acceptance speech.

@MariahCarey Addresses Her ‘Feud’ With @NickiMinaj…

…at least sort of. From MTV:

“Sometimes things get heated for their own reasons,” Carey tells The Hollywood Reporter about the feud that erupted on set during auditions in North Carolina. “I don’t think the panel has an issue.”

While Minaj didn’t directly address the altercation in the cover story, she did note that when pushed “I am scary and intimidating. I definitely demand respect. I’m also a sweet person. I’m a loving person. But I don’t want to be f—ed with.”

But the tensions still seem apparent when asked if she thinks her image might be too over-the-top for the show. She implied there’s someone else on the panel who dresses just as sexy as she does, and she didn’t mean Keith Urban or Randy Jackson. She added, “I could think of at least one other person that shows more cleavage and skin than me.”

reality_x_factor_usa_britney_william

Looks like Hip-Hop will be keeping Britney Spears’ career alive once again. From EW:

But the rep did spill some names working on the album Britney — like the recently inescapable producer Hit-Boy, the aptly named man behind Kanye West and Jay-Z’s “N—-s in Paris,” A$AP Rocky’s “Goldie,” Kendrick Lamar’s “Backseat Freestyle,” and other major 2012 jams.

Of course, there’ll be seasoned Spears vets helping out too. Will.i.am., for instance, will be pitching in again.

kl

From MTV:

Live from New York, it’s Adam Levine! The Maroon 5 frontman and “Voice” mentor has been confirmed to host “Saturday Night Live” later this month.

He will become a first-time host during the January 26 airing of the longtime late-night comedy staple. He will be joined by musical guest and good kid, m.A.A.d city rapper Kendrick Lamar, who is all set to take the famed “SNL” stage that same night.

This is Lamar’s first time on the show. However, this hardly marks the first time that Levine has been on the show. Maroon 5 was a musical guest back in 2004 when his one-time “Voice” co-mentor Christina Aguilera hosted. The band has since been on the show several more times including appearances in 2007, 2011 and 2012.

LilWayne2012-600x337

From Screen Crush:

A few sites around the web (including Examiner) are listing a reported cast list for Pixar’s ‘The Good Dinosaur’ that includes Lil Wayne, Joan Rivers, Jason Alexander and, of course, John Ratzenberger.

We’ve reached out to reps at Disney and Pixar for comment but, as of press time, haven’t heard confirmation on the news.

‘The Good Dinosaur’ is scheduled to hit theaters on May 30, 2014 and goes like this:

“What if the cataclysmic asteroid that forever changed life on Earth actually missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct?”

UPDATE: Frank Ocean (@Frank_Ocean) Arrested For Sexual Act In A Moving Vehicle

IFWT_FrankOcean_Boyfriend1

UPDATE: So it looks like weed — and not sex — was the culprit…from TMZ:

Law enforcement tells TMZ, Ocean was pulled over in Mono County, CA for going roughly 90 in a 65 — and when officers approached his black BMW, they smelled the odor of marijuana emanating from his vehicle.

According to law enforcement, cops searched Ocean and found a small bag of pot on his person.

We’re told Ocean was cited for marijuana possession, driving on a suspended license, and tinted windows.

Ocean was released on the spot, but his passenger had to drive him home — because cops confiscated Ocean’s license.

This is from Media Takeout, so take this with a grain of salt:

Frank Ocean and his male companion was allegedly caught performing sexual acts to one another Mister Cee-style when a Lakewood California officer pulled them over. He also posted a picture from the back of a cop car alongside a Tweet (which we don’t see, so it may have been removed) saying ‘worst trip ever’:
