Petey Pablo Begins Prison Sentence

TMZ got some info that Petey Pablo quietly checked into a West Virginia federal correction facility on January 4 and recommended to receive an “intensive substance abuse treatment, vocational training and educational opportunities” while incarcerated.

 Petey was arrested on September 11, 2010 while attempting to smuggle a gun at an NC airport and was sentenced to 3 1/2 years. He is scheduled for a July 17, 2014 release.

Jimmy Henchman Charged With Ordering The 2009 Murder Of G-Unit Affiliate

Jimmy Henchman real side has pretty much reared it’s ugly head to stay. From HHDX:

Hip Hop executive Jimmy “Henchman” Rosemond has added additional charges to his growing criminal rap sheet. According to AllHipHop.com, the presently-incarcerated CEO of Czar Entertainment and onetime manager for Game and Gucci Mane has been charged with ordering the 2009 murder of Lowell “Lodi Mack” Fletcher.

The AllHipHop.com report notes that Fletcher was famously sentenced for the 2007 assault of Henchman’s teen-aged son, along with unrelated drug charges. The assault incident occurred outside G-Unit Records’ Manhattan offices and included G-Unit artist Tony Yayo, an associate of Fletcher’s.

Two years later, after his release from prison Fletcher was murdered in Bronx, New York. Two men were convicted of Fletcher’s fatal shooting last year, Brian McLeod and Rodney Johnson, both of whom are incarcerated in Florida. New information has led to charges against Rosemond for ordering the hit, reportedly in exchange for cocaine. He is presently incarcerated in Brooklyn, New York for a drug trafficking charges, awaiting sentencing.

Jim Jones Maced & Arrested by Police After Casino Fight

Jim Jones was involved in a CRAZY brawl last night in Connecticut which resulted in him getting arrested, but not before it took five cops and a little bit of mace to subdue him … TMZ has learned.

TMZ has obtained insane video (see above) of the fight going down inside the casino after a party hosted by Diddy at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods.

Our sources say a guy, who seemed intoxicated, came up to Jones and started talking smack to him, which Jones tried to ignore.

According to our sources, the guy then started getting physical and throwing punches and Jones fought back in self defense. Then the guy’s friends jumped in … then Jim’s people jumped in … and IT WAS ON!!!

We’re told Jones had no idea who the guy was or what triggered his beef with Jones.

Sources close to Jones say he was arrested and it took the aforementioned cops and mace to bring him in. We’re told he has since bonded out and is headed back home soon.

Jones had no comment. The hotel had no comment as well, and referred us to the Connecticut State Police … who said Jones was charged with assault on a police officer and breach of peace.

VIBE Reportedly Calls Drake A ‘Diva’ After Failed Shoot

So, the below news is from AllHipHop’s Rumor section, so when I spotted it, I looked at it as just that: a rumor. So I recently spotted a more detailed editorial from Necole Bitchie on the matter which appears to show some truth to it (as well as her very dope take on the whole situation):
Rumor has it Drake was supposed to be on the cover of the February issue of VIBE , but he came to the set eight hours late and refused to cooperate with the styling for the issue.

VIBE contributor Lola Ogunnaike revealed:


“He was slated to appear on the cover of VIBE magazine to accompany this story [The Dark Side of Aubrey Graham]. But he fouled that up when he arrived more than eight hours late to the shoot and refused to wear any of the wardrobe provided for him.”


“He brought his own clothes, which was mostly Hemès and leather bomber jackets,” revealed a source at the shoot. “But it was a shoot about spring fashion. He was going on and on about wearing his leather bomber, and wasn’t letting it go. He said the [female] stylist was too aggressive, that he wasn’t a model and he wasn’t feeling the vibe. He hopped in his SUV and left.”


Do you think Drake had a good reason to walk out n the shoot? One man’s loss is another man’s gain…or in this case – woman! Nicki Minaj ended up scoring the cover (above) instead.

Andre 3000 Discusses Solo Album

In an interview with GQ, Andre 3000 says the much-talked about album from the duo is unlikely, but he hopes to drop a solo album this year.

  Andre 3000: There’s been a lot of talk on the Internet about an OutKast album and I have to say that as of now, there are no plans for another OutKast album. There’s a lot of music on the horizon. I’ve been living off the excitement of new artists. I’ve been privileged to have these new artists kind of reach out and grab back and say, “Hey, Andre, we want you on this song.” So I’ve been taking those calls and for the last two years, I’ve been doing collaborations. So these new artists have kind of been keeping me alive. I’ve just really been feeding off of that and this year I think I’m planning to do a solo project. I don’t know when it will come out, but hopefully it’ll come out this year. As far as OutKast, I really don’t know if or when that will happen. GQ: What’s the new solo album going to be like? 


Andre 3000: The only thing I can really say is I’m going to get back to having fun because that’s what it was all about when I started this in high school—with OutKast—those were like high school dreams. I’m 36 now, so I have grown-man dreams. This album will just be me being myself as normal.

  Before I started working on Roman Reloaded, I was thinking about that. And I realized it’s all such a natural transition. I am running with new looks now, but I didn’t plan on it. I’m always switching it up, so when I finally finished the tours and I came home and I relaxed, I just started feeling a certain way. And depending on my mood is when I change my hair up. So the mood that I’m in right now, it caused me to change my hair and change the style a bit too. And it just happens to coincide with the new album. But it wasn’t something that we said, ‘Hey, new album coming out we have to reinvent ourselves,’ because everyday is a reinvention.
