Lil Wayne Addresses “It’s Good” Diss

Last night,Lil Wayne’s “It’s Good” hit the ‘net, VIBE got a quote from Lil Wayne about his jab toward Jay-Z.

â€œI know there won’t be any repercussions behind what I did,” says a confident Wayne when asked if he had second thoughts about recording his acidic verse for ‘It ‘s Good.’ “I know for a fact music is about perception. You can’t do anything but perceive what you hear. I know that for a fact. So I can’t ever be upset about someone’s reaction.”

Amy Winehouse Had No Drugs in Her System at Time of Death

The cause of Amy Winehouse’s death is still uncertain. Toxicology tests have determined that “no illegal substances” were in the “Rehab” singer’s system at the time of her death last month.

“Toxicology results returned to the Winehouse family by authorities have confirmed that there were no illegal substances in Amy’s system at the time of her death,” stated her family. “Results indicate that alcohol was present but it cannot be determined as yet if it played a role in her death.”

The statement continued, “The family would like to thank the police and coroner for their continuing thorough investigations and for keeping them informed throughout the process. They await the outcome of the inquest in October.”

“We’re 23 years old at this time, we’re trying to figure it all out,” Wale told MTV News. “We went from not having sh– to having money at our disposal, so it kind of f—ed up our friendship. He doesn’t smoke as much anymore, but his name is Scott.” “Focused” features Wale rapping, with Cudi supplying a chorus in his sing-song, Mr. Solo Dolo type of delivery over a synth-loaded uptempo track. Game Ditching Name Drops & Features ?

Over the weekend, The Game tweeted that he has already started working on his next album. According to Mars of 1500 Or Nothin, the producer tells MTV that this one is going to be different then the past albums.

â€œMe and Game was in the studio yesterday. We did two songs. That’s coming along crazy. We’re going to have no features: It’s just him rapping. No name dropping, no little things people say is cliché about Game. It’s just putting on the boxing gloves and going for what we know.”

Swizz Beatz Denies Casio Lawsuit

Swizz Beatz recently broke down his extensive discography with Complex. While discussing “Down Bottom” he denies getting sued by Casio and revealed his keyboard of choice.

The sound module comes with sounds programmed in it already, so I was just looping the sound modules. Then, of course, people spun it out of control like I got sued by Casio. I was like, ‘What the fuck?’ I’ve never used a Casio in my life. That was a myth. I was using the Trinities, these silver keyboards. The Triton hadn’t come out yet. “Today—because of that story—people think I made all of that shit from a fucking Casio. I’m like, ‘How can you make those beats from a Casio?’ No disrespect, but the only Casio I’d ever seen was little. I’ve never seen a Casio that had those types of horns or that could make the type of shit I was making. “My equipment list started from two BD10 Gemini turntables with a wood-grain Gemini mixer—the small one. Then I graduated to the Technic 1200’s and I got the other Gemini mixers. I always liked the Gemini mixers.

Meek Mill Signs Deal With Rap Snacks

2011 has already been the best professional year of Meek Mill’s life with the success of Self Made, his hit singles “Tupac Back” and “I’ma Boss” and the reception his Dreamchasers mixtape has received. I’m going to spare you all with the soon-to-be overdone “making money/stacking chips” comparison, but for Meek, a certain style of potato chips will now be putting additional money in the Philly rapper’s pockets.

The chips will be distributed through Rap Snacks and will be found in most pop and pop stores including all supermarket chains. The announcement of this comes only weeks after Rick Ross announced he’ll be opening his own wing shop in Memphis, Tennessee. At this point, MMG is only a Wale-endorsed drink away from a full fledged combo meal.
