Lupe Fiasco Praises Lil B

ast night, Lil B dropped his new project, I’m Gay and today Lupe took to his website to praise him. Read the full post here. Below is an excerpt.

So Lil B is from The Bay and he’s a youth hahaha we can stop right here! He already good in my book. But what gets Lil B admission into my coveted genre of “Liberation Rock” is his absolute lack of fear when it comes to challenging the status quo. Whether it be in hip-hop, which is very elitist and caste and class oriented, or just society in general, which is very elitist and class centric. His albeit “rocky” road musically has been honestly at times unbearable to walk on. Some of Lil B’s past works have been underwhelming to say the least and at moments I would seriously consider heading out for smoother pavement. But every now and again an absolute jewel would come to the surface and I’d find myself unable to fathom leaving this kids side for any reason. The vulgar lyrics, happy go lucky cooking dances and sometimes pointless stream of conscious style rambling started to give way to hints of a deadly serious revolutionary mentality lurking underneath. Now I’m not talking Dead Prez or Immortal Technique level stuff here but something just as powerful and meaningful. What I was witnessing was a man in the process of profound self-realization and self-awareness. And seeing that this road has led to the promised land in the form of “I’m Gay (I’m Happy)” has been for me just as fulfilling as the new understandings that I’m sure Lil Bars has come upon if the content of his new album is anything to go by.

Amber Rose Addresses Nude Photos

No matter what I go thru or how embarrassed I am I have a man that Loves me & has my back thru everything. @RealWizKhalifa thank u. :-) I was gonna wait until my radio show to address this but I want to say this now. I trusted someone that worked 4 me & allowed them to use my laptop a million times, I caught this person sending my pics to themselves and I fired this person immediately. Wiz & I & both of our families have known about this for 2 months now. We tried to prepare ourselves for this day. Those pictures r 2 1/2 years old just sitting in my computer. I’m really hurt & embarr#!@%*#ed because I have so many young girls that look up to me. I would never put those pics out of myself. The company that I was working with no longer wants to work with me because of these pics and that prevents me from getting money to take care of my family. Its a messed up situation when someone so evil comes into ur life and tries to destroy it. I know I’m not the only girl in the world that has taken pics like that but they were very private. I’m sorry for letting my young Rosebuds down. Pls understand this was a result of trusting a person that didn’t deserve my trust. I have cried for the past 2 days but I know this to shall p#!@%*#. Thank u for all of ur support.

Rick Ross Sued…Over Death Of Yorkshire Terrier

From TMZ:
Banks’ owner is suing Ross — claiming 3 pitbulls escaped from Rick’s mansion in Atlanta back in April … entered her property and ferociously attacked her tiny pet Yorkshire Terrier.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, the yorkie suffered “3 large bite wounds on his back ” along with a “very large bite wound” around his neck.

Cops were called to the scene — and officials managed to free Banks … but his wounds were so extreme, that the owner had no choice but to euthanize her beloved companion.

Investigators eventually cited Ross for the incident — but the owner wasn’t satisfied so she filed suit, demanding Ross fork over $15,000 in damages and court costs.

We’re told the owner is especially upset because Ross has NOT apologized for the incident.

Calls and emails to Rick’s camp have not been returned.

Tay Don Made The CBS Evening News

After the shooting this past weekend during the Caribbean Carnival which left one dead and 5 injured, the media tried to place blame on one of Tay Don’s songs, “Black on Black Violence”, as the reason for the shooting, as well as him being part of a gang called NFL (Niggas From Landover). He called up to the station to clear that up and stated that he has never been a part of a gang. Tay Don also stated that he is against violence and NFL is supposed to unite other African Americans from Landover.

President Obama Grants A Girl’s Wish To Meet Justin Bieber

Justin fan Payton Wall’s dream came true last week when she met the teen idol, the result of a favor from President Barack Obama who promised to facilitate an introduction to the pop star after receiving a 1,500-word email from the teen, whose father died on 9/11..
Payton said Justin’s documentary “Never Say Never” helped her cope with the loss of her dad, Glen James Wall, who was a Cantor Fitzgerald executive who worked in the twin towers. Payton, her sister Ashley, and her friend Madison Robertson — whose father Donny Robertson also worked for Cantor Fitzgerald and died on 9/11 — met Justin last week during the pop star’s stop at Macy’s in New York’s Herald Square to promote his new fragrance, Someday..
“It was so cool. I couldn’t even believe it,” Payton told the New York Post. “He said, ‘Hi.’ He was asking us about the perfume and if we were wearing it.”.
“He was really nice and is so cute,” Ashley said. “He didn’t even look real.”.
Payton was surprised when Obama replied to her email. “I never thought he’d respond,” she told the Post in May. “I was so shocked when the White House called! It was all a dream come true.” Payton had previously sent a message to Justin via Twitter and also letters to Hollywood executives to no avail..
Payton said Justin’s life story, as chronicled in “Never Say Never,” made her want to share her own hardships. “We were so amazed by his story and how he never said never,” she said. “It inspired us to believe in ourselves and share our story to encourage others.”.
Obama received Payton’s letter the day after Osama Bin Laden had been killed. Moved by Payton’s personal story, Obama invited the teen, her mother, and sister to the Ground Zero ceremony in May..
When meeting Obama in person, Payton again inquired about meeting Justin, and the president said he would help..
Payton said she didn’t just write the letter in hopes of meeting the “Baby” singer. “I did it to honor my father,” she said. “My father is the reason that we all came together today. I miss and love him and don’t go a day without thinking about him.”

Hov & Adele On A Track, Let The Story Begin…

Jay-Z wants to hit the studio with Adele, so they can make a “massive record”.
The Forever Young rapper is currently in the UK to support his wife Beyonce as she headlined Glastonbury Festival at the weekend.
And according to reports, the hip-hop star had a business lunch with the Rolling In The Deep singer to discuss the possibility of working together.
“Jay has been making the most of his trip over here,” the source told The Sun. “It’s not often he is overwhelmed by people when he meets them, but Adele was on top form as usual.
“She talked him under the table. He was chuckling all the way through their chat.
“He’s keen to work with her, whether it’s producing or writing together. She was a huge hit in the States and he believes they could make a massive record together.”
It’s also reported this week that Jay-Z wants to work with Paolo Nutini, after being impressed by his Glasto performance.
