Los Angeles rap has grown from khakis and bandanas into a eclectic hip-hop movement with some serious talent. Emerging from the pack of notable new artists is Leimert Park’s own Dom Kennedy. With some classic mixtapes and his finger on the pulse of the LA’s music scene, Dom is poised to make some noise while keeping it all original.

During a recent visit to Berlin, American R&B artist Aloe Blacc entered in a three way collaborative effort with musician and music-maker Mihalj “Miki†Kekenj and artist Jaybo. Together the three came together to re-appropriate the work of Aloe Blacc who has quickly become a fan favorite for his contemporary vision of soul.
