Stalley – Raise Your Weapons (Video)

December is a month full of inspiration to #RaiseYourWeapons. On December 1, 1955 Rosa Parks was arrested and on December 6, 1865 the 13th amendment was ratified. Yesterday we saw a Civil Rights Icon, Nelson Mandela, pass. In his honor, we release the music video today for Stalley’s “Raise Your Weapons” off the Honest Cowboy mixtape. The music video is directed by Abraham Vilchez-Moran & Jai Jamison. The song is produced by the Block Beattaz.

Sheek Louch Visits Cipha Sounds’ “Take It Personal” (Video)

Sheek informed the sold out crowd at the UCB Theatre in Lower East Side that a beat boxing Missy Elliott put together “All About The Benjamins” and thought the verse Styles P had ready for the song was “whack”. Sheek also revealed that due to his “trapping”, he was not able to appear on more iconic songs such as “All About The Benjamins”. — Keith Nelson via AllHipHop.com

Lana Del Ray – Tropico (Short Film)

Directed by Anthony Mandler and taken (presumably) from her recently-announced upcoming album Ultraviolence.

The three-part story begins in the Garden of Eden and travels through time to modern-day Los Angeles. Del Rey’s visual sensibility is rich and fantastical, and the movie’s running themes stay true to the concepts of Born to Die and Born To Die – The Paradise Edition: the loss of innocence, good vs. evil, and trading beauty for money. The film puts closure on the two recordings, and features three songs from The Paradise Edition: “Body Electric,” “Gods and Monsters,” and “Bel Air.”
