Action Bronson Performs….At A Retirement Home

Here at Noisey UK, we have become friends with the lovely people at our local old folks home, St. Hilda’s.

As a treat for them, we arranged a surprise visit from the hottest rapper on the planet, Action Bronson, to see what they made of it.

He performed his track ‘Strictly 4 My Jeeps’ and we think they were sort of into it so ‘Live from St Hildas’ might become a regular thing.

Back in June, Mount Kimbie headlined the official You Need To Hear This launch party at Hoxton Docks in London. Performing for the first time ever with a live four piece brass section, we caught up with the duo ahead of the gig to find out how the collaboration came about and how developed into this incredibly special live performance, despite having only rehearsed for 20 minutes.

Nitty Scott, MC – Skippin’ Clouds (Video)

In “Skippin’ Clouds”, Nitty Scott, MC takes on the roles of a depressed 50’s house wife, a 70’s socialite who likes to party, and even a grungy heroin addict as the visual explores drug culture in different eras. The song’s airy high provides the perfect backdrop for a walk down trippy lane, deep in a substance-induced trance as she raps about everything from Bob Marley to vicodin and chakras. Whether taking drugs is about escapism, pure indulgence, or a quest to find deeper meaning, the stories show the duality of drug use and how they can lead to both pleasure and pain.

@ShamzLeRoc – Lazy Days (Video)

Shamz Le Roc’s latest — directed by Ramone Anderson — is brought to you by SoulCulture.

The fresh faced East LDN hailing newcomer Shamz Le Roc (and younger sibling of UK R&B trailblazer Kele Le Roc) brings us into her unique world with a smokey, hazy video which perfectly captures the young creative’s fusion of R&B flavours, electronic and trap elements, chopped and screwed vocals and a laid back rap flow produced by Kream Team.
