A few days ago we got pictures from Slaughterhouse and Cee-Lo shooting their video shoot in LA. While on set, Joe Budden took a second to speak with MTV, Budden speaks on the concept and director Syndrome’s approach.
“It’s just more of a rags-to-riches type of story that chronicles struggle, hardship, all of the hurdles that we’ve all jumped and some of the things that all of us have extreme gratitude for, if you listen to the lyrics of the songs. Unless you have the most wildest and most vividest of imaginations you probably won’t be able to get it, but he’s doin’ a lot of editing in post, he’s doin’ a lot of camera tricks. He’s gonna make it all come together, he’s gonna make it all real sexy and we’re excited to work with him.â€

Off his upcoming “Odd Renditions” EP dropping May 15th is this great remix of Marvin’s ‘Ain’t That Peculiar’. The original was recorded and written by the great Smokey Robinson in 1965 about the torment of a painful relationship. This rendition mostly capitalizes on the originals chorus and feeling, with beefed up drums, cut vocals, pounding keys and some nice synth action. Peicing together footage of Marvin performing the song, well edited by Rob Mac.
