50 Cent drops a new visual for the old ‘Can’t Help Myself’, originally heard on The Lost Tape.
50 Cent Calls Gucci Mane, Bobby Brown, And DMX Crackheads
I guess Gucci Mane wasn’t the only rapper going on other rappers today. 50 Cent took to Instagram to call Gucci Mane, DMX and Bobby Brown crackheads and compared them to Chris Rock’s character Pookie from New Jack City.
50 Cent Feat. Skylar Grey – Don’t Turn On Me
The below song was originally leaked under the title ‘Warning You’ until 50 Cent decided to clear things up over Twitter (above). Definitely one of the better tracks that I’ve heard from modern day 50.
J. Cole Reveals Sha Money XL Wanted 50 Cent To Sign Him
J. Cole sat down with Vibe and he talked about being at 50′s house in Connecticut years ago where he met Sha Money XL, Tony Yayo and others. He also reveals that Sha Money XL played some of his music for 50 Cent but he passed on him ( he thought he was “one of these skinny jeans ni**as”).
Sha Money XL told me once that he brought you to 50 Cent before you signed with Roc Nation. What do you remember about first meeting him?
I didn’t meet 50 when Sha was trying to introduce me, but there’s a crazy story. I was unsigned and my name was starting to get around the industry. I took a meeting with Paul Rosenberg and a meeting with Mark Pitts, but my stuff hadn’t got to Jay Z yet. Nobody was making a move. “Lights Please” and “Lost Ones” were making their rounds, but it wasn’t no real action yet. I ended up in Connecticut at 50’s crib and he wasn’t home that night but people was still in his crib. Were Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks around?
Yayo, Sha Money and a couple other people were there, but Banks wasn’t that night. Yayo was going nuts, like, “Son!” When I see Tony Yayo today we still talk about that. It was a crazy night. After that, Sha Money was trying to fuck with me heavy. He was like “Son, look, I’m playing 50 your shit.” Supposedly the story is that he played 50 my shit and 50 wasn’t sure. Like, “I don’t know, man. Is he one of these skinny jeans niggas?” He couldn’t see it, but it was a good time in my life. It was brand new, fresh. Being in that crib was amazing.
J. Cole also speaks on recording with 50 for ‘NY Times’ and how he wanted Nas on the same song but didn’t work out.
Fast forward five years and you feature 50 on “New York Times,” off of Truly Yours 3. How did that track come about?
I made that song and didn’t write the hook, I just did the melody. On the original reference I’m humming the melody, but all I did was steal a 50 Cent melody—some shit I would hear 50 singing. I had that song for a year before the album came out. I was like, “Damn, I’d love to get 50 or Nas on this.” Nas was my original plan but he didn’t get the verse done in time. So we had this other kid from Queens named Bas.Wow, reuniting 50 and Nas could’ve been huge.
Exactly. For hip-hop, period. But really for New York. I wanted that to be a real New York record. This down South nigga coming and putting on for the city because I have a connection. So 50 came to the studio in L.A. to lay the verse and he heard the melody and he was like, “I could tell you was thinking about me when you were doing that melody.” He wrote that shit in five minutes, maybe. It was crazy to see that melody that was in my head come to life with the actual person who I wanted to do it. He gave us three hours worth of game that night, just talking. Were both Nas and 50 aware that they’d both be on the same record?
Yeah. I told 50 that night he laid the hook, “I just want to let you know I want to put Nas on this.” He was like, “Yeah that’s cool.” Then I hit Nas and told him I got this joint with 50 on it, and he was like “Cool.” Nobody had a problem with it. I think that they saw the moment was going to be big. I wish he could’ve gotten that verse done, but my nigga Bas is on that, so it’s all good.
50 Cent Loses Lawsuit With Sleek Audio; Cries Racism
From TMZ:
50 Cent says he got SCREWED in court recently because the judge was a rap-hating RACIST … and now he wants the allegedly bias ruling overturned … this according to court docs.
Earlier this year 50 and company called Sleek Audio were embroiled in a bitter lawsuit. 50 claimed Sleek owed him over $261,000. Sleek said otherwise. The case went to arbitration — a binding process in which an arbitrator picks the winner.
Bad news for 50, the arbitrator sided with Sleek (the final $$$ judgement was kept under wraps).
But 50 refuses to go gently into that good night … and is taking the battle to federal court — claiming the arbitration judge discriminated against him because he’s black, associates with controversial African-American figures AND because he’s a high profile rap artist.
Specifically … 50 says the bias ran so deep the judge didn’t allow him to cross-examine witnesses and refused to look at evidence pertaining to the case. Pretty bold claims.
He wants the award axed ASAP and is asking for a new hearing … where he says he’ll prove the judge was out to get him from the get go.
Sleek fired back too … claiming 50’s allegations of racism are a desperate attempt to avoid the arbitration decision and get it brought before an actual court.
50 Cent Previews New Songs On Hang With App (Video)
50 Cent went live on the app Hang With earlier to preview about 5-6 new songs. 50 Cent also gave short commentary during the listen, mentioning that some of the tracks may not make the cut on his upcoming album Street King Immortal. Check out the rest below.
50 Cent Gets Into It With A Member Of Meek Mill’s Entourage On Stage (Video)
50 Cent enjoys snatching the MixShow Live headlines. Tonight was no different. During the G Unit listening suite featuring Kidd Kidd and hosted by 50 Cent, Meek Mill made a surprise appearance which seemed to elate 50 until he noticed someone he was not too fond of. Black Twitter (how great are they?) confirmed during my live twitter rundown that the person with Meek Mill was upcoming, and former G Unit affiliate, artist Trav who had previous tiffs with 50.
As it turns out, Trav is extended “family” of Meek Mill and has no direct affiliation with the MMG star. Meek Mill went on to explain some history that he has with 50 and why his (50) beef with Rick Ross has nothing to do with Meek Mill. Watching the video above, it’s not hard to tell that Meek Mill had no intentions on causing trouble and genuinely went to support the G Unit boss. He even premiered to new exclusives from DC3 (stay tuned). – Queen Bobbi

UPDATE: 50 Cent Pleads Not Guilty In Domestic Violence Case
UPDATE: TMZ got some footage of 50 Cent leaving the courtroom following his hearing (among other things, he has to give up his guns)…..he was also hit with some additional papers on the way out….
****************************************
From CNN:
Rapper 50 Cent entered a not guilty plea to domestic violence and vandalism charges in a Los Angeles County court Monday.
The 37-year-old artist — whose real name is Curtis Jackson — was ordered to return to the Van Nuys, California, courtroom on September 4 for a pretrial hearing for one count of domestic violence and four counts of vandalism, according to a court spokeswoman.
Model-actress Daphne Joy, who has a child with Jackson, accused her ex-boyfriend of kicking her and ransacking the bedroom during an argument at her condo in the Toluca Lake neighborhood in Los Angeles on June 23, according to the Los Angeles city attorney. Authorities allege Jackson caused $7,100 in damage to property and left the scene before police arrived.
If convicted on all five counts, Jackson would face up to five years in jail and $46,000 in fines.

UPDATE: 50 Cent Changes Will After Texts Between Him & His 16-Year-Old Son Leak
UPDATE: Above is a picture of 50 Cent with Tiffany Lighty (Chris Lighty‘s daughter). What’s now interesting is that, according to 50, his updated will apparently leaves his wealth to her, judging from his Twitter:
That was his mother texting me as him.she sold that to a web site.she hate me for Winning, it’s hard to replace me.
Read the text carefully you will see what I’m saying.
I rewrote my will today now when I pass away all my physical property’s and MOST of my money go’s to charities and TIFFANY LIGHTY so when I’m done she can be 50cent
Obviously, this raises eyebrows given his recent exchange with his son (below), who has certainly been on a Twitter campaign of his own:
Marquis has also apparently send messages to Oprah regarding the father issue, so I’d expect that this won’t be the last we hear about it.
****************************************
This is obviously in the midst of the recent domestic violence charges stemming from the alleged mother of 50 Cent’s newborn child. I guess they’re trying to paint 50 Cent to be…..the exact person he’s been since we learned of his rough upbringing in the first place. He’s been shot 9 times, for God’s sake.
You can check out the transcript below.
50 Cent exploded into rage at his 16-year-old son in the months before he was arrested on domestic violence and vandalism charges, hurling a string of obscenities at the teenager and calling him “f*cking stupid,” a “sh*t head” and a ”motherf*cker.”
The angry rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson III, told his son Marquise to cut all contact with him in a series of expletive laden text messages — “f*ck you stop texting me,” read one; “delete my number,” said another — after the pair was apparently unable to coordinate a custody visitation.
At one point in the vicious communication, 50 Cent admonished Marquise and told him: “I don’t have a son anymore.”
His shocking rant — obtained exclusively by RadarOnline.com — is an eerie echo of Alec Baldwin‘s repulsive attack on his then 11-year-old daughter with ex-wife Kim Basinger, Ireland.
50: Hey I’m out side the house at the front door. I came to the front door then lights went off. What’s up?
Marquise: U lying u outside? Lol. Lol u fronting.
50: I saw you looking out the window good luck in life. Your gonna need it.

This is of course in response to the recent news story that 50 Cent had kicked his ex-girlfriend/alleged mother of his child.
50 Cent’s attorney released a statement, saying, “Curtis Jackson [50 Cent] denies these allegations as made against him. It is important to note, Mr. Jackson has not been arrested and there is no warrant outstanding for his arrest.”
50’s attorney adds, “We have been in contact with the LA City Attorney’s Office and are currently conducting our own investigation into these allegations.”
50 was hit with 5 charges in total stemming from the incident — including 1 count misdemeanor domestic violence and 4 counts of misdemeanor vandalism. Cops responded to the scene following the incident, but 50 had already left.
If convicted on all counts, 50 could face up to five years in jail and $46,000 in fines. He is due in court to be arraigned on July 22.

From MTV:
Jay-Z has been waving his “new rules” flag around the release of his latest, Magna Carta Holy Grail, and the idea of shaking up the music industry has already resonated with many. 50 Cent, for one, welcomes it.
“You can’t be afraid of change. I think the old way of doing things is not gonna work, but then you gotta create a plan for a new way. How are you gonna do it?” Fif asked rhetorically when MTV News asked him about his thoughts around Hov’s digital rollout for Magna Carta Holy Grail on June 25, a week before anyone heard the project.
Most Rappers Are Lying About Their Money (Businessweek)
I’m sitting over here laughing at the Nas part of this graph. From Businessweek (it’s better to check it out in full over there, as the graph gets interactive and in more detail).
Fresh off of Jay-Z’s new album is the track Versus, on which he chides fellow hip-hop artists and their dubious tales of extraordinary wealth: “The truth in my verses, versus, your metaphors about what your net worth is.” Like Jay-Z, we’ve long been skeptical of just how wealthy some hip-hop stars claim to be, so we created a way to separate the truly rich from the loud-mouth lyricists.

50 Cent Dropped From MLB All-Star Event After Domestic Violence Charges
From Entertainment Wise:
The ‘New Day’ rapper was scheduled to perform alongside Kaskade at the MLB’s All-Star event on July 14, but was swiftly pulled, prompting advertisers to promote “surprise performances”.
A spokesperson for the organisation has not confirmed whether 50 Cent’s charges led to the cancellation, whilst the rapper’s representation are still to offer an official statement.
Meanwhile the 38-year-old has been charged with four counts of alleged misdemeanor vandalism and one count of misdemeanor domestic violence for an alleged confrontation with an ex-girlfriend.
50 Cent, also known as Curtis Jackson, has denied the claims of domestic violence and vandalism through his lawyer Scott Leemon, who stressed no arrests have been made.
Scott Leemon stated: “We have been in contact with the LA City Attorney’s Office and are currently conducting our own investigation into these allegations,”
The outcome is currently unclear until the platinum selling rapper makes an appearance at his next court hearing on July 22.
50 Cent Tried To Help Chief Keef (Vlad TV)
50 Cent reached out to Chief Keef back in January, in the midst of both commercial success and legal trouble for the young artist. As 50 has a son only a year younger than Keef, he thought he could help the Chicago rapper to adjust from the streets to the rap game. Unfortunately, according to 50, Keef never took his advice and continues to get into trouble. Check out 50’s opinion of Chief Keef above.
Details Leak In Alleged 50 Cent Assault On His Ex
Media Takeout reports:
50 and Daphne have a SON together – his name is SIRE. When Daphne learned that she was pregnant, she and 50 agreed that it was in SIRE’S BEST INTEREST – for the young man to stay out of the public. 50 agreed to provide OVER AND ABOVE what a court would ORDER him to pay in child support, and Daphne agreed to keep SIRE out of the public eye. 50, being the shrewd businessman that he is – even had Daphne SIGN LEGAL PAPERWORK agreeing to keep Sire out of the public.
To ensure that his new son was living well, 50 purchased a CONDO in HIS name (more on that later) and furnished it with furniture that HE BOUGHT FOR THE CONDO (more on that too). He allowed Daphne to move in and her mother too, so that they could raise Sire in a comfortable manner. 50 has been in Sire’s life SINCE BIRTH – he is a beautiful boy, we’ve seen pics. But we’re not gonna publish them here, because we’re not trying to disrespect 50s wishes for his child.
Yesterday reports came out that 50 Cent ASSAULTED Daphne and vandalized HER apartment. First things first, 50 may be a LOT OF THINGS . . . but he is NOT a woman beater. He has to our knowledge (and trust, we did some digging) NEVER laid hands on any woman – this is ESPECIALLY true since he’s witnessed women in his own family get beat. And as far as the VANDALISM charges – as stated above the CONDO and the furniture inside the condo are 50 CENT’S. You can not be charged with VANDALIZING YOUR OWN ISH!!
So now to the JUICY part – what caused the DUST UP between 50 and Daphne that made 50 SPAZZ OUT. Well according to the STREETS, Daphne Joy has been spending time with a Las Vegas rapper named Mally Mall. The nature of their relationship is NOT CLEAR . . . but we hear that Mally is known in Vegas as . . . a “MAN OF LEISURE” who provides men with “FEMALE COMPANIONSHIP.” And streets say that Daphne had been spending a lot of time with him . . . while in a relationship with 50.
50 Caught wind of what Daphne was doing, and he BLACKED OUT.

According to a police report obtained by TMZ, 50 went to the woman’s home in Toluca Lake, CA on June 23rd and broke her chandeliers, furniture, a TV, lamp and trashed her entire bedroom closet, causing over $7,100 in damages.

From MTV:
During the height of their well-publicized rap feud it didn’t seem that 50 Cent and Fat Joe would ever reach an accord. Unfortunately it took the death of their mutual manager Chris Lighty to bring peace between the two titans. Looking back on it all, Fif says it should’ve ended a long time ago.
“Fat Joe, that was interesting. The competitive nature of hip-hop forces us to compete,” 50 told MTV News correspondent Josh Horowitz when he walked the red carpet for the premiere of Will and Jaden Smith’s new sci-fi flick “After Earth” on Wednesday. “It was one of those things that it went on longer than it was supposed to with that one.”
