Two Fans Sue Beyonce After Being Trampled At Her Concert

From TMZ:

Turns out two Beyonce fans liked the singer too much for their own good … they got trampled at one of her concerts and now they’ve turned on her in a lawsuit.

Raquel Castellanos and Gabriella Davidson claim they went to the United Center in Chicago last December with general admission tickets and arrived super early so they could get close to the stage.

They were at the front when the doors opened and there was a stampede. According to the lawsuit the 2 women were trampled by a rushing mob and knocked to the ground … leaving them unconscious with broken bones and other injuries.

The women claim the venue did not set up proper procedure for entering the arena … so reports the local CBS affiliate in Chicago.

The women were taken to a local hospital and never got to see the show.

As for why they sued Beyonce … well, she’s the queen bee.

Beyonce Covers Out Magazine’s ‘Power’ Issue

Beyonce will be on Out Magazine‘s annual Power issue. In the below excerpt, she speaks about how men and women are viewed differently by society.

“There is a double standard when it comes to sexuality that still persists. Men are free and women are not. That is crazy,” Beyonce told the gay and lifestyle publication. “You can be a businesswoman, a mother, an artist, and a feminist – whatever you want to be – and still be a sexual being,”

Bill O’Reilly Blasts Barack Obama & Beyoncé (Again)

From MTV:

The Fox News pundit has spent the first two nights of the week working himself into a lather — as he is wont to do — over a pair of perceived evils that threaten not only the future of our Republic, but our children (think of the children!): Beyoncé’s “Partition” video and President Barack Obama’s appearance on “Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis”

On Monday’s “O’Reilly Factor,” Bill spoke to Russell Simmons about “harmful entertainment marketed to largely unsupervised children” (and also Simmons’ new book, “Success Through Stillness”) when he abruptly banked right and brought up Bey’s sultry “Partition” vid, which, in his opinion “Glorifies having sex in the back of a limousine.”

Teenage girls look up to Beyoncé … why on earth would this woman do that? When she knows [about] the devastation [of] unwanted pregnancies and fractured families,” O’Reilly said. “I believe an entertainer like Beyoncé [has] an obligation to protect children, not put out exploitive garbage … what she’s done here is inexplicable.”

To his credit, Simmons attempted to explain the inexplicable, pointing out that, in essence, Beyoncé was flipping decades-old gender stereotypes with the video — “There’s research that says that a man thinks about sex every 12 seconds, so when an artist expresses something that’s sexual in music, it’s a reflection of our reality,” he said. “If we want that reality changed, then we have to do things that affect the core.” — but Bill was having none of it, incredulously calling into question Bey’s art, and closing out the segment by joking to Simmons “When you see Beyoncé, tell her ‘Knock it off,’ from me.”

Of course, on Tuesday’s “Factor,” O’Reilly wasn’t in the mood to joke … not after Barack Obama had the audacity to appear on “Between Two Ferns” at a time when the United States is being “tested” by enemies like Russian president Vladimir Putin.

“For a president under intense scrutiny to do a comedy show raises some questions. I don’t have a problem with it in general … [but it’s] a little bit desperate, don’t you think?” he asked rhetorically. “There comes a point when serious times call for serious action.”

Indeed. O’Reilly then backed up that point with the salient (and technically factual) assertion that Abraham Lincoln never would have appeared on “Between Two Ferns,” and said that he would have had no problem with White House press secretary Jay Carney doing the show … but the president? Forget it, especially since the video will only serve to reinforce Putin’s opinion that Obama is a “lightweight.”

Mathew Knowles Gets His Child Support Payments Reduced

Spotted on Contact Music:

Beyonce’s father Mathew Knowles has won a reduction in his child support payments by more than $9,000 (£5,402).

The former music manager was ordered to pay his former mistress Alexsandra Wright $12,000 (£7,202)-a-month after a paternity test proved he is father of her son, Nixon, who was born in February, 2010.

However, his superstar daughter dismissed him as her manager in 2011, greatly decreasing his income from a reported $3 million (£1.8 million) a year to $127,000 (£76,212) in 2013.

Because of his plummeting income and a reported $51,000 (£30,605) spent on monthly expenses, Knowles asked a California judge to lower his child support payments to Wright, and his request was approved, according to TMZ.com.

Now Knowles is only required to hand over $2,485 (£1,492) a month, which is $9,515 (£5,711) less than his previous payments.

Beyonce’s mother Tina filed for divorce from her husband of 29 years in 2009 just weeks after Wright submitted her paternity lawsuit.
