It’s coming, and now it makes sense: we recently posted a mixtape by DJ Stevie J that featured a new freestyle over ‘Bugatti’ by Weezy (which you can check out below). Apparently, that was just a taste of what to expect.
After playing J. Cole’s new record with Kendrick on Shady 45, DJ Drama said that he believes J. Cole will outsell Kanye next Tuesday. I have so much respect for DJ Drama, but I have to disagree with him on that.
DJ Drama is bringing back his ‘quality street music’ to the club alongside Young Jeezy, Yo Gotti and Juicy J. This record — which is also featured on CTE’s recently released #ItsThaWorld — is going to be a problem in the clubs this Summer (which is when Quality Street Music should also be arriving).

DJ Drama sits down with Eldorado from HipHopSince1987 in a 3 part interview to talk about his migration from Philly to Atlanta and it being a risky decision and not the trendy move most do today. He also talks about growing up in Philly, how the movie Juice insipired him to become a DJ and becoming a student to his craft. Finally, he also talks about building his buzz from the ground up (including the beginning of his mixtapes), not being able to compete with the Kay Slay’s, Dipset’s & 50 Cent’s mixtape buzz at the time and so much more.

So, I thought that the Rosenthal brothers were compiling a mixtape of other artists (DJ Drama style), but it appears that this project is an EP of original music from ItsTheReal with features from other artists. The hilarity ensues on April 1st (typical) with appearances from Maino, Bun B, Freeway, Lil Jon and more. Tracklist below.
J. Cole appears on DJ Drama’s show in Atlanta to speak on a number of topics, such as his career….as well as what other’s think of it in the form of a list (but he doesn’t give a f***):
“I don’t know, but I don’t really give a f**k. It is what it is. Think about it, from what they say, it’s the past year, I’ve had a quiet year. But still, I should be on there. I don’t give a f**k, DJ Drama…..they’re still gonna die. They’re fu**ng dead, and I’m gonna kill them.”
“We shouldn’t talk about this anymore. They want this, f**k these guys. By the way nobody’s competing, some of these guys you putting up against each other are from different fu**ing planets. They shouldn’t even be in the same conversation, so what are they really talking about. Future doesn’t even give a f**k about Kanye. They don’t even interrupt each others’ lives and they’re not competing on the same level. So what are you doing? I don’t really know.”

ItsTheReal has teamed up with DJ Drama to release their first mixtape, which, despite what the artwork says, may still have a joke or two given where the project is coming from. Urbane Outfitters drops April 1st.
Drama drops an action packed visual courtesy of Alex Nazari. Wale fans might notice that this track used the same sample that was also used on Attention Deficit.
I am a French Montana fan, no doubt. But French Montana really needs to drop a chart topping record without these features before he calls 50 Cent anything (on Eminem’s Shade 45, for that matter).
While out in Atlanta for the LongLiveA$AP Tour Rocky fell through Means St. Studios for an interview with Mr. Thanksgiving. He speaks on how his single “Fuckin’ Problems” came about, having his own tour now, the creativity of his debut album, grabbing a handful of Rih Rih’s cheeks and even shouts out the new comer Trindad James who he feels is inspired by the A$AP movement.
The Stadium Club D.C. in will be turning it up to the max with the biggest Howard Homecoming 3 day concert series featuring Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz, Future, Birdman, Floyd Mayweather, Yo Gotti, DJ Drama, Fat Trel, One Way Boobe, Young Fresh & MORE! All hosted by Midieast’s & DTLR’s 2Face aka Dan Wilder.
DJ Drama stopped by 106 this evening. He reminisced on his first DJ gig, spoke on the BET Hip-Hop Awards, “his My Moment” video, Street Quality Music and working with its features.

During Drake’s OVOFest last month, Dj Drama decided to  shot a video for his lead single while he had the whole crew together. Quality Street Music hits stores on October 2nd.

After announce the reuniting for Dedication 4, he called in Hot 107.9 and says he hopes to release it August 15. He’s already recorded over the “Cashin Outâ€, “I Don’t Like†and “Burn†beats.
