Kodak Black Released From Prison (Again)
From TMZ:
Kodak Black is a free man after completing a voluntary life skills course behind bars that made him eligible for early release.
Kodak was released Monday morning from Broward County Jail after serving 97 days of a 364 day sentence for violating house arrest. He’s now back on house arrest for another year. He’ll need to request permission from his probation officer and court if he wants to travel anywhere for work, even inside Florida.
As we reported, his trouble adhering to house arrest is what landed him in jail. He bolted without permission at least 2 times, once to hit up a strip club.
We’re told KB’s prison life skills course covered domestic violence, parenting, financial management — and, perhaps most importantly … problem solving and self-control skills.
Kodak Black Turns Down 8 Year Plea Deal (UPDATE)
UPDATE: Looks like the bartender might’ve been lying. Also: Kodak may have a burping problem.
From Local10:
Dieuson Octave, better known as rapper Kodak Black, turned down an a plea deal Wednesday from the state of eight years in prison for an alleged battery and probation violations.
As family and representatives from Atlantic Records looked on in the courtroom as Octave’s probation officer, Sandy Freidman, detailed how the rapper violated his house arrest terms.
“He did not complete anger management, he was thrown out,” Freidman said.
He also went to Ohio without permission.
While on house arrest Octave allegedly went to a strip joint called Club Lexx where a bartender named Jennifer Cunningham said he assaulted her.
“After I pushed him away he started swinging his hands towards me, like he was tying to attack me,” Jennifer Cunningham said. “As he’s trying to attack me, I’m grabbing (his arms) to defend myself.”
She then said Octave kicked her.
Under cross examination ,Cunningham admitted she didn’t see a doctor for her injuries until two weeks after the incident. By that time she’d retained an attorney.
She also said she emailed Octave’s manager threatening to sue the rapper for monetary damages.

Kodak Black Is Apparently “Saddened” By His Recent Arrest
Of course he’s blown, we all would be. As seen on SunSentinel:
Kodak Black knew it was possible he could be jailed again as he was driven to court Tuesday morning. The night before, his attorneys had told him about a warrant out for his arrest.
“Saddened” was Black’s reaction, one of those attorneys, Allan Stephen Zamren, said Wednesday.
Black, who was out on bail in an unrelated criminal sexual conduct charge in South Carolina, was set to perform in New York on Wednesday and in the coming days in Philadelphia; Rochester, N.Y.; Wallingford, Conn.’ and Columbus, Ohio. Those tour dates are now postponed.
News was also emerging when Black was arrested that his latest single, “Tunnel Vision,” released Feb. 17, had debuted in the 27th spot on the Billboard Top 40. The video, which takes on race relations in the Trump era, had over 27 million views as of Wednesday.
Black, 19, whose given name is Dieuson Octave, was taken into custody in a Fort Lauderdale courtroom on Tuesday on allegations that he violated the conditions of his house arrest. According to an arrest warrant filed by a Florida Department of Corrections officer, Octave failed to complete a mandated anger management program and went on unauthorized trips to a Miami strip club on Feb. 1 and a boxing match in Ohio on Feb. 18.
The warrant alleges that videos showed Octave at the boxing match and the Miami strip club. It wasn’t clear where or how the videos had been seen, but Octave is a prolific poster of photos and videos to his social media accounts, and those include posts on Feb. 18 showing him at the boxing event.
Octave’s lawyers dispute the allegations. They say that he was allowed to be at the boxing match and that the strip club incident was a misunderstanding. They also say they’ll address the anger management allegations in court.

Kodak Black – Tunnel Vision (Video)
Florida rising star Kodak Black has certainly earned the ire of mainly due to his “off-court antics”, so to speak…with that said, you really can’t doubt the man’s musical genius. Case in point: check out his racially-charged new visual for ‘Tunnel Vision’, produced by Southside and Metro Boomin.
Kodak Black – ‘Everything 1K’ (Video) & ‘I Need Love’
Two new releases from Florida’s Kodak Black: a visual for ‘Everything 1K’ (which features the ‘Cash Me Ousside’ chick) and the LL Cool J-inspired ‘I Need Love’. Both are very dope.
Kodak Black Wants To Fight Lil Wayne (Video)

— DJ Akademiks (@IamAkademiks) January 9, 2017
We realized something: some time ago, Lil Wayne did an interview when certain names were rattled off — including Kodak Black’s — for his opinion, and Wayne acted as if he didn’t know who any of the mentioned were. So Kodak sending these increasingly savage shots at Weezy kind of make sense (whether its ridiculous or not).
Anyways, he now wants to fight Wayne and nab his self-proclaimed “Greatest Rapper Alive” title. And it looks like 50 Cent is looking to cash in:

The time when you get to express gratitude and show love. So that’s what we did. I hope y’all enjoy it. Happy Holidays!
Lil Yachty Vs. Kodak Black? (UPDATE)
We’ll make this short: remember when, during an interview about being one of XXL’s latest freshmen, Lil Yachty suspected that Kodak Black wasn’t rocking with him? Looks like that might be true, as Kodak Black took to Instagram to diss Yachty and D.R.A.M. for using the slang term ‘broccoli’.
UPDATE: Yachty has responded, and he’s not feeling Kodak’s opinion.
UPDATE #2: E-40 sets the record straight.
Kodak Black Reportedly Banned From South Carolina
Honestly…we doubt that Kodak Black is in tears over this. What black person that’s not from South Carolina would want to go there in this day and time? From NBC News:
A rapper is banned from the state of South Carolina, except for court appearances, officials say.
Rapper Kodak Black was booked into the Florence County Detention Center on a charge of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, 12th Circuit Solicitor Ed Clements said. No specific details on the arrest were available.
Dieuson Octave, 19, who recording name is Kodak Black, was booked into the detention center at 11:04 p.m. Monday, according to detention center records.
Octave was arrested on drug charges in St. Lucie County, Florida,in August.
Octave pleaded no contest to two misdemeanor drug charges in September 2016 and was sentenced to four months in jail, though he was credited for time spent in custody awaiting trial.
Clements said the only exception to Octave’s house arrest is a previously scheduled concert appearance.
Octave was extradited Monday back to Florence on the outstanding warrant, according to the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office.
If convicted, Octave could face up to 30 years in prison, according to Clements.
Attorney Beattie Ashmore is representing Octave. He said Octave was released on bond Thursday and is back at home in Florida.
