Meek Mill Found Guilty In Probation Violations Case; Could See Prison Time

According to the Associate Press and ABC, the rapper Meek Mill (born Robert Williams) was found guilty by a Philadelphia judge of probation violations, with the potential for a prison sentence. Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley, the same judge who spared Meek from prison in 2009 for his gun charge, but had him spend 5 months in jail last year, decided that probation wasn’t “appropriate.” The latest alleged violations occurred because of the rapper’s frequent traveling. Mill’s 209 gun case was what started trouble for the 28-year-old. Even though he avoided jail time, probation violations have sent him back to court consistently since then. Meek’s girlfriend Nicki Minaj was also at the hearing. Reportedly, he will have stricter rules on performing and traveling until his sentencing, in 2016. For more info, read the ABC News report, written by Maryclaire Dale.
