“Miley Cyrus is the new Madonna,” Mike WiLL Made It proclaimed on the set of his new video, “23,” which also features the singer, Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa.
The chart-topping producer truly believes in the former Disney star’s talent. While on set in Brooklyn, Mike gave VIBE his honest thoughts on Miley’s much-talked about MTV VMA performance.
“She did her thing… a lot of people are scared. She’s young, she’s 20, and she had fun. [Miley] turnt up,” he says. “When you’re on top, you’re going to get flack for anything. At least she went up there and had fun and did what she wanted to do. She went up there and did her vision. That’s what it’s really all about.”
After accompanying her to the awards show at the Barclays Center on Sunday night (Aug. 27), the two spent the next day on set at Brooklyn’s Bishop Ford High School to film their new video.
Mike WiLL Made It’s upcoming album, Est. In 1989 Pt. 3., is set to drop later this year.

Paula Patton ‘Attacks’ Miley Cyrus At VMA’s?
Media Takeout Reports:
MediaTakeout.com just got 100 PERCENT CONFIRMED REPORT this morning that at yesterday’s MTV Music Awards actress Paula Patton attempted to BEAT FIRE out of pop singer Miley Cyrus.
This report comes from a TRUSTED SNITCH that worked backstage at the Awards show.
According to our insider Paula was FURIOUS after the performance. The insider explained, “We had to physically hold Paula back, she was ready to go crazy. Plus she seemed to be a little inebriated – maybe too much champagne.”
And it got worse. According to our insider, Paula waited until the end of the show, so that she could get close enough to Miley . . . then she LASHED OUT. The insider did not witness it FIRST HAND – but the rumor around the VMAs is that Paula actually PUT HANDS TO MILEY.

BANGERZ. From MTV (where you can read even more):
Nearly one month ago, Cyrus — inspired by Jay-Z’s epic Twitter Q&A — promised followers that when she hit 13 million followers (her lucky digits) she would reveal the title of her Can’t Be Tamed followup. After weeks and weeks of amassing followers, that day has come.
BANGERZ has yet to get a release date, but Cyrus has said she’s so pumped about the record, she’s considered leaking it online. “I scare my label all the time, because I just want my whole record out right now. I’m ready for people to hear it,” she told 4Music.
Shortly following Cyrus’ album reveal, the title track of the album, “Bangerz” allegedly leaked, reportedly featuring none other than Britney Spears. In the nine-second snippet a male voice repeats, “Strut that stuff” while Cyrus chimes in saying “F*** Bangerz” over an up-tempo-heavy beat.

Miley Cyrus – MTV UK Interview; Speaks On ‘SomewhereInAmerica’ Shoutout
From MTV UK
Miley Cyrus has spoken about her very special bond with collaborator Pharrell Williams, stating she feels “protected” by the producer.
The We Can’t Stop singer has hooked-up with Pharrell on a her currently-untitled new album, with Miley exclusively telling MTV News UK how their collaboration came about.
Speaking to Laura Whitmore, the 20-year old explained: “Pharrell… was the first thing I said, just because that was kind of me at that point – this is before Blurred Lines and Get Lucky was out.
“He had kind of had radio silence for a second and because he was just coming up with this new sound, he was also reinventing himself and getting even more involved with fashion, taking himself to a whole other brand which is what, you know, I’ve been wanting to do.
“I feel protected by him ‘cos he’s like a big bro, so I feel like a whole different vibe in the studio. I kinda got stuck in there with him. Then, once me and Michael [producer Mike Will] were back together and started working on We Can’t Stop the record just got even crazier, so these collaborations have been insane.”
When probed further about her new LP, she continued: “It’s definitely like a kind of a mixture, I know who to go to for certain sounds. Pharrell has his own sound, when it comes on the radio, you immediately know that it’s him.
“And that’s the same thing with Michael Will, he’s got a sound that’s like really young, especially him being 23 – it just makes him have this sound that is fearless, just cause’ he’s young.”
She added: “I think I’ve definitely been inspired by them but they’ve also been inspired by me and so it’s just a mixture of the sounds and just making this record sound so different, it’s got such a cool combination.”
Speaking of her reaction to hip-hop royalty Jay-Z name checking her on Magna Carta Holy Grail track Somewhereinamerica, Miley revealed: “Pharrell had actually hit me [up], he was like ‘Jay-Z wants to call you and tell you that he’s shouting you out in the song tomorrow.’
“I was in Miami and was doing crazy press for my record. So I came out… and we got to go out and hear it in a club. It was fun.”
Miley Cyrus Confirms That She Was Really Singing About Molly In Latest Song
Those that watched the video for (or listened to) Miley Cyrus new single ‘We Can’t Stop’ noticed that she had a line that sounded like ‘dancing with Molly’, which she corrected in interviews as ‘Miley’…..which made sense. What’s funny is that she really was singing about poppin’ MDMA, as was revealed courtesy of the Daily Mail, along with the fact that her video would have been worse (spotted on Celebitchy):
Her video was even more explicit: “No gyrating, no ———-, there was a lot less. They took out literally everything. I thought the video wasn’’t bad, then MTV in the UK sent, like, 18 notes asking for changes.”
Being a Disney star was so awful: “I wasn’t really worried about it because I feel that time was something that I had to do what everyone has to do — work at something that you don’t necessarily love to get to be able to do what you do love. I would say everyone has to start from the bottom, to get where they want to go and work on things they don’t really care about doing. So I had to do that for five years. I had to work on something that wasn’t really a passion for me just because I wanted to be able to get here, so when I was older I’d be able to just do what I want and not have to work for money.’”
On the censors: “Then I’ll give you an edit. I just think the world is so lame because you can shoot people in a movie and you can let people like Zimmerman off on trial but you can’t have someone going like this (she stimulates oral sex gesture), that is so dumb to me.”
She’s not worried about alienating her fans: “People need to also remember that Britney when she did Slave or anything it was just a different time so it was less real because Can’t Stop I wanted it to be kind of gritty, like everything is about Instagram, about things going viral and I wanted to celebrate that. But Britney or Madonna never played it safe, none of the best pop artists ever did. I feel like I live in a different world, I live in LA, I see everything.”
About that “Molly” reference: “It depends who’s doing what. If you’re aged ten it’s ‘Miley,’ if you know what I’m talking about then you know. I just wanted it to be played on the radio and they’ve already had to edit it so much.”
Her version of growing up: “I don’t think people have a hard time understanding that I’ve grown up. You can Google me and you know what I’m up to – you know what that lyric is saying.”
