I think it’s pretty funny that Remy Ma is being so cool about seemingly being asked about Orange Is The New Black in every interview since doing 6 years in prison. Here’s yet another example of that.
Remy Ma – Sway In The Morning Interview/Freestyle (Video)
Remy Ma is continuing her promo following her release from prison, the latest stop being at Sway’s radio show over at Shade45…during the sit-down, she spoke on motherhood (she has a son), new artists that’s she liking, real life comparisons to Orange Is The New Black (read: it’s a very extreme dramatization, apparently) and more.
She also drops some bars for the show, which you can also check out below.
Remy Ma On 106 & Park
Remy Ma was a recent guest on 106 & Park, where she spoke on her incarceration, recent music releases, new music and moves to look out for from the emcee and more. She also made a point to push unity amongst the female artists within her genre.
French Montana Feat. Remy Ma & Jadakiss – Megadeath (Prod. Swizz Beatz)
Remy Ma is still on a roll post-incarceration, scoring a feature on the French Montana track ‘Megadeth’, which also features Jadakiss and is produced by Swizz Beatz. I’m going to assume that this heat will also appear on French’s upcoming album Mac & Cheese.
Remy Ma – Funk Flex Interview
Remy Ma makes her first official interview with Funkmaster Flex over at Hot 97, and she pretty much talks about everything you would expect.
DJ Khaled Feat. Remy Ma – They Don’t Love You No More (Remix)
Remy Ma is shaking off the rust with her first release since being released from jail: a spin on Khaled’s latest hit. Looking forward to hearing more music as she finds her way back to that fire.
Remy Ma Is Already Back In The Studio (PICS)
It looks like recently freed rapper Remy Ma when straight from the prison to the studio, with none other than DJ Khaled (which is a more perfect fit than I bet some of you think, given their rich history as a part of Fat Joe Terror Squad movement),
You can also check out some stunt pics for good measure. Welcome home, Remy Ma!
UPDATE: Remy Ma Released From Prison
The return of Remy Ma. From MTV:
After serving a six-year prison sentence, Bronx rapper Remy Ma was released on Thursday (July 31).
Hot 97′s morning show reported that the former Terror Squad rapper was released from the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women in New York, around 8 a.m. on Thursday morning. Remy was greeted by her husband Papoose, in addition to her manager and other members of her entourage.
UPDATE: Apparently, there was a disciplinary issue a week prior, and as a result, Remy is still incarcerated for an unspecified amount of time. Damn.
UPDATE #2: After yesterday’s pump fake, Remy Ma is officially freed from prison. Time to celebrate.
Remy Ma Is Getting Out Of Jail Soon; Calls Angie Martinez
Seemingly out of nowhere, Remy Ma called to Angie Martinez’ new show on Power 105 to reveal that she will be coming home in a little over a week and doing 6 years in prison (for, if I recall, shooting her friend for stealing from her). Let’s hope she takes over in the female rap game post-release (even better, reunites with Fat Joe).
Nicki Minaj Wants To Work with Remy Ma!
Nicki Minaj called into to Hot 97 morning show yesterday to talk about her new single “Pills N Potion” and she revealed that she wants to work with Remy Ma after she is released form prison.
Papoose Feat. Remy Ma – Whats My Name
Papoose gets down with his wife on the latest leak from Nacirema Dream. The album will thankfully see the light of day come March 26th.
