TMZ has obtained a copy of the lyrics for the new song — called “Get Her Back” — and the whole thing is dripping with regret over his split from Paula Patton.

Some highlights:
— “All I wanna do is make it right”
— “I gotta get her, go get her back / I gotta treat her right / I gotta cherish her for life”

Robin Thicke is Missing Paula Patton….Bad (Video)

Dude is really hurting’ over his soon-to-be-ex-wife. From TMZ:

Robin Thicke got back to performing tonight and wasted no time using the stage to beg for Paula Patton’s mercy … opening up to the crowd about the break-up and dedicating a song to her.

Thicke wore his wedding ring through the show in Fairfax, VA and told the crowd — “For y’all that don’t know me and my wife separated, but I’m trying to get my girl back. She’s a good woman.”

He also told fans he’d written the song “Lost Without U” for Paula … before launching into the hit — which we gotta say is kinda the perfect song for a guy trying to get back on a chick’s good side.

Then again, Paula’s heard this tune a hundred times.

That’s not all — he’s also been buying endless flowers and pouring his heart out to anyone who cared to listen. I know that feel, bro.

Robin Thicke Cancelled Shows & Ran To Paula Patton To Try To Win Her Back Following Breakup

From Daily Mail:

Robin Thicke cancelled a concert in Atlanta on Friday to make one final plea to wife Paula Patton to give their marriage another go, it has been claimed.

According to TMZ.com, Robin flew to Canada in a last ditch attempt to save his relationship, after Paula allegedly told him on Friday that she wanted a divorce.

However, after a long face-to-face discussion with Paula, 38, who has been in Vancouver shooting a movie, Robin, 36, is said to have eventually come to the conclusion that he wouldn’t be able to change his spouse’s mind.

A source told the website: ‘In the end Robin realised Paula was determined to end the marriage and reluctantly agreed, but was very upset. She was also upset.’

Robin then cancelled his scheduled concert on Saturday at Universal Orlando, citing voice loss as the reason.

He said in a statement: ‘I never want to let down my fans, but I have unfortunately lost my voice and cannot perform.

‘I have been looking forward to going to Universal Studios in Orlando and am very sorry that my concert there (Saturday) night now has to be canceled. I apologize to everyone.’

However, he was later seen with the couple’s son Julian at Disneyland on Sunday, with sources saying his main priority was to spend time with his child in the wake of the split announcement.

On Monday the married couple of nine years – who were childhood sweethearts – announced they were separating.

‘We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time,’ they told People in a joint statement.

The news comes on the heels of several reports that Robin had been caught flirting behind the back of his actress wife.

Ever since his song Blurred Lines became a breakout hit in July 2013, the crooner has been caught in a series of bad situations.

DAMN: Robin Thicke & Paula Patton Have Separated

marriage

Spotted on the NY Daily News:

The blurred lines in Robin Thicke and Paula Patton’s marriage have seemingly cleared.
The longtime couple are ending their marriage, reports People.

“We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time,” they said in a joint statement to the mag on Monday.

The “Blurred Lines” singer met Patton when he was just 14 and they became high school sweethearts. The parents to three-year-old son Julian Fuego Thicke got married on June 11, 2005.

The pair were all smiles when they attended the Grammy Awards on Jan. 26 despite multiple reports of his infidelity.

At the beginning of the year Thicke, 36, was seen cozying up to an unidentified woman at a Paris nightclub. The “Give it 2 U” singer reportedly danced the night away at Club 79 in the French city and kept the company of a woman who was certainly not Patton.

Back in August he was also seen engaging in naughty behavior. That time he was partying at a New York hotspot following his highly sexualized MTV Video Music Awards performance with Miley Cyrus. At 1Oak he posed for what initially appeared to be an innocent photo with a fan, which she later posted online. But with a closer look the mirror reflection in the snapshot shows Thicke’s hand grabbing the young woman’s backside as he smiles for the camera.

He described his marriage to 38-year-old “2 Guns” actress Patton as “the greatest love of the century, and the most functional, dysfunctional marriage in Hollywood,” to Star magazine.

Thicke even said his controversal hit single, which was pegged for copyright infringement of a Marvin Gaye classic, was actually about Patton.

“I don’t think people got it,” he told BBC’s Newsbeat, according to the Daily Mail. “I wrote it about my wife … she’s my good girl. And I know she wants it because we’ve been together for 20 years.”

While there’s no confirmation whether infidelity was the cause of their breakup, his rumored extramatrial affairs have been widely talked about.

“Some of our individual goals still haven’t been realized,” he told USA Today in July about his relationship with Patton. “But we have a healthy child. We’re madly, crazily in love.”

Robin Thicke’s Label Settles With Marvin Gaye’s Family In ‘Blurred Lines’ Lawsuit

Sunnymarvin-gaye

From NY Daily News:

Marvin Gaye’s children have settled claims against a music company owned by Sony over Robin Thicke’s Grammy-nominated hit song “Blurred Lines.”

The Gayes had accused EMI of not pursuing a copyright infringement case against Thicke because “Blurred Lines” has similarities to Gaye’s “Got to Give It Up.”

A Los Angeles judge on Tuesday granted Nona Marvisa Gaye and Frankie Christian Gaye’s dismissal of their lawsuit against EMI, which is owned by Sony/ATV Music Publishing. Documents say the Gayes and Sony have an agreement and claims against Sony can’t be brought again. A representative for the Gaye family said the terms of the settlement were confidential.

Dueling lawsuits between the Gaye family and Thicke remain active.

Thicke and his collaborators T.I. and Pharrell Williams asked a federal judge in August to rule they didn’t copy “Got to Give It Up” for “Blurred Lines,” which is nominated for record of the year and other awards at the Jan. 26 Grammy Awards. Their song has sold 6.6 million tracks and was last year’s biggest hit. It spent 12 weeks on top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Gaye’s children accused the performers in October of copying elements of his music for “Blurred Lines.” Their lawsuit sought to block Thicke from using elements of their father’s music in other songs and claimed Thicke improperly used Gaye’s “After the Dance” for his No. 1 R&B hit “Love After War.”

Representatives for Sony and Thicke didn’t immediately reply to emails seeking comment on Tuesday. A representative for Gaye’s children said in a statement they hope “the infringement claims will be resolved swiftly and in an appropriate manner.”

Marvin Gaye, whose other hit songs include “Sexual Healing” and “Let’s Get It On,” was shot dead by his father in 1984. The family’s statement said they plan on celebrating the late singer’s 75th birthday this year.

Robin Thicke: I’ve Spent £320,000 On Marijuana

THICKE620_1778197a

According to Metro (by way of The Sun):

Robin Thicke has revealed he’s spent more than £320,000 on marijuana because he ‘smokes like a chimney’.

The Blurred Lines hitmaker revealed his expensive habit as he confessed he even gets medical marijuana from a friend of his.

‘I do smoke. I do everything I’m not supposed to do,’ the 36-year-old said.

‘Weed is my crutch, my muse, the lesser of all evil. I’ve spent a good $500,000 on pot. I’ve tried to quit smoking. I’ve quit everything once.

He told The Sun: ‘My buddy runs a store, I can get medical marijuana. When I’m at home, I’m a non-stop chimney.’

Thicke was detained by police last year after he was caught smoking a joint in his car in Manhattan, New York.

A police source said at the time that the singer was not driving and only a small amount of weed was found on him.

According to CBS News, he was given a desk appearance and released, but there was no comment on the situation from Thicke’s reps.

Paula Patton And Robin Thicke Have An Open Marriage?

RobinThickePaulaPatton1Rhymes With Snitch Reports  :

In an exclusive interview in the new issue of Life & Style, Lana Scolaro reveals that not only did she hook up with Robin that night, but she did so while Paula was just a few feet away.

“I don’t think he cared what she thought,” Lana tells Life & Style. “I was with him the whole night!”

The two had met the week before at a friend’s party, and she says he immediately approached her at the 1Oak VMAs shindig with the pick-up line, “I just love the fact that you’re so young.”

“His hands were everywhere,” says Lana.

Lana says that initially she pushed him away because he’s a married man, but that Robin told her Paula was “chill” and even encouraged Lana to talk to her.

And his bad behavior only continued as Robin led Lana into his car to leave the nightclub and, oddly, his wife joined them. They all headed to a bash at a suite in the Greenwich Hotel, where Robin and Lana got closer on the couch.

“I went to the bathroom, and when I came out he was standing there,” she tells Life & Style. “He turned off the lights so no one could see us, and he started making out with me. He was grabbing me. He was like, ‘I want to get you into bed!’”

Though he tried, Lana tells Life & Style that they kept getting interrupted. But when the party broke up at 8 a.m., Lana says he gave her his number and said he would see her soon during NYC Fashion Week.

Robin Thicke Caught Groping Socialite’s Ass On Camera (PIC)

Robin-Thicke-Grabs-Another-Womans-Butt

From Daily Mail:

The girl at the centre of the Robin Thicke butt-grabbing saga has spoken out – claiming she wasn’t expecting the uproar the cheeky photo op caused.

Socialite Lana Scolaro, a student living in New York City, posted the not-so-innocent picture of the married Blurred Lines singer groping her bottom to her Instagram page following Sunday night’s MTV VMAs.

While the heavily-made-up blonde says she was aware that the 36-year-old gave her derriere a squeeze at the time, she was surprised to discover later that it was visible in the reflection of the mirror behind them.

‘I knew his hand was on my butt. I posted it on Instagram and didn’t notice the reflection. But someone noticed it and commented. I was just like, “Oh I’ll Instagram this photo with Robin Thicke, like everybody else,”‘ she told Celebuzz, adding, ‘I didn’t think it would cause this much drama. I didn’t know it would be all over everything like this.’

Indeed, the drama blew up after a Twitter user posted the photo on the micro-blogging site, tweeting it to Robin’s wife, Paula Patton, 37, with the message: ‘Look at the reflection girl.’

To make matters worse, it turns out the incident at the VMAs afterparty, held at 1OAK in the trendy Meatpacking District, wasn’t the first time the pair had met.

Marvin Gaye’s Family Turned Down Robin Thicke’s Six-Figure Offer

w867.45223

This is beginning to get ugly.

You can read the whole story on Billboard, but apparently, Robin Thicke offered a reported six-figure sum to the family of Marvin Gaye to settle accusations that Thicke, Pharrell Williams and T.I.’s ‘Blurred Lines’ is a complete rip-off of Gaye’s music (George Clinton’s music has also been thrown in this hat). A lawsuit has already been filed in an attempt to legally shut down any legal attempts to take credit for the single, which is currently selling serious units and topping charts (for those that have been hiding under a rock).

For the record, Robin Thicke has already admitted that artists like Marvin Gaye have inspired his music….but do you think that anyone has a right to take credit away from Thicke and Pharrell for ‘Blurred Lines’?

Robin Thicke Sues The Family Of Marvin Gaye

thicke

From USA Today:

An attorney for Thicke and collaborators Williams and Clifford Harris Jr (aka T.I.) filed a lawsuit Thursday, asking a federal judge to determine that their song Blurred Lines does not copy elements from two older songs from Marvin Gaye and Funkadelic (George Clinton).

This comes after Marvin Gaye’s family and Bridgeport Records’ alleged claims against the singers that the song sounds remarkably similar to Gaye’s Got To Give Up, demanding financial compensation for copyright infringement.

“Gaye defendants are claiming ownership of an entire genre, as opposed to a specific work,” the suit alleges.

Funkadelic, the George Clinton-led band that led the ’70s funk movement, has also allegedly claimed similarity between Thicke’s hit and Sexy Ways.

A copy of the suit obtained by The Hollywood Reporter reads:

“Plaintiffs, who have the utmost respect for and admiration of Marvin Gaye, Funkadelic and their musical legacies, reluctantly file this action in the face of multiple adverse claims from alleged successors in interest to those artists. Defendants continue to insist that plaintiffs’ massively successful composition, ‘Blurred Lines,’ copies ‘their’ compositions.”
