Was @ShyGlizzy’s #YoungJefe Pushed Back to February 17th?

Say in ain’t so Shy! According to Live Mixtapes’ twitter (which Shy retweeted), Shy Glizzy’s tape Young Jefe has been pushed back two weeks from this Monday, February 3rd, to February 17th. Damn, I was really waiting on this one.  Maybe we’ll be getting some new surprises with the delay?  I hope so anyways…

UPDATE: Shy Glizzy – Young Jefe (Artwork)

UPDATE: While the previously posted artwork (that’s still below) is what we saw on Live Mixtapes pre-release for Young Jefe, it wasn’t the official one, as Shy Slizzy has since confirmed:

Shy Glizzy reveals the artwork for his upcoming mixtape Young Jefe, which is set to drop February 3rd. The tracklist should be dropping real soon.

@IamGooMarley – M.O.E (Marley Over Everything) (Mixtape)

Uptown vet Goo Marley drops his tape MOE after years of grinding and some time spent in prison (although he’s been out for a year.)  Basically this is that aggressive shit you need in your life, whether you know it or not.  The tape is mostly trap, but Marley switches it up too, singing and talks a real story on “Let’s Ride”.   Some old collaborators show up, like Shy Glizzy, J5, Airport Tone and Mayo show up, along with some new ones like AB Icee and Yung Gleesh…basically check this tape out, its probably what you’ve been missing.

G$tar Giorgio Ft. Shy Glizzy – $wagg Back (Video) (Prod. Metro Boomin)

I’ve been hearing about G$tar Giorgio for a minute, from Los and from Bucky Malone (he appeared on Bucky’s tape last month.)  I was always impressed with the VA rapper’s memorable rap style, especially here. I guess I wasn’t paying enough attention, because this new video for “$wagg Back”, shot by Muddy District caught me completely off-guard. With a captivating flow, a catchy hook, a Metro Boomin’ beat that doesn’t compromise his approach and a well-placed Glizzy guest verse, I can’t sleep on this track or G$tar anymore.

@Test410_ – Kno Dey Jealous Ft. @ShyGlizzy

I thought I would just highlight this Test and Shy Glizzy collaboration that appeared on the Baltimore rapper’s mixtape that dropped yesterday. It was interesting to see a song with two artists from nearby cities who both have comparable ties to Atlanta scene both in the way they sound and in the artists they run with. Test’s gravely voice works well over the SM Tracks beat, both on the auto-tuned hook and on the staccato verses. Glizzy uses more of the same flow that was on “Awwsome” and it works well for a short feature.  This and “I Ain’t Never” were standouts from the project for me.

@ShyGlizzy – Too

Shy Glizzy releases a new record today entitled “Too” (G-Mix). This may be a sign of a new project (or a new leak from the already acknowledged Young Jefe that is set to drop early 2014). Let’s hope we get that official announcement soon.
