Rich Homie Quan, fellow Atlanta rapper and friend to Trinidad James, spoke with VladTV about the controversy over James’ remarks about New York recently. “A lot of stuff be blowing out of proportion,” He said. “At the same time, in Trinidad mind, you don’t know what he was going through…”
Like he said: “the truth will set you free”.
Revolt TV recently caught up with Trinidad Jame$ via Skype to ask him about the recent backlash that he’s receieved regarding comments made about New York Hip-Hop.
After going back and forth with Trinidad Jame$ on Twitter, Maino called Hot 97’s morning show to discuss his issue with the Atlanta emcee and defend his city.
After some serious backlash over recent comments made about New York Hip-Hop, Trinidad Jame$ releases a new record which he name drops some more people. I wonder if this will be on his album that drops next month.

Shortly after the footage went viral, Harlem rapper Smoke DZA responded to James’ comments.
“im not from atlanta..,” he tweeted November 13.
“its easy for n*ggas to say what the want in front of f*cking nerds and d*cksuckers who enjoy that type of sh*t”
“sick of u n*ggas disrespecting my city like its not real n*ggas out here thats bout that.. LIKE ME”
“James is wilding…”
“this sh*t is disrespectful.. and i got love for every city every n*gga rocking, but that sh*t is wild to me..”

Brooklyn rapper Maino showed no mercy and went in on James.
“S/O to all the NY n*ggas who let this Rotten Teeth n*gga @TrinidadJamesGG disrespect us lastnite! #whathappened,” Maino tweeted.
“Somebody wake @TAXSTONE up tell’em this nasty mouth n*gga @TrinidadJamesGG is on the menu. #whathappened”
“after we clean this guy @trinidadjamesGG up I’m straighten a few of u NY n*ggas out for being the V*ginas that u R!”

Trinidad has already jumped onto his Twitter page to respond to both rappers.

Trinidad James had a show in New York at Converse’s Rubber Tracks Studio, and while on stage, he stated that he feels the south runs the rap game. Above is the clip and an excerpt of said statement is below.
“I remember when New York ran this sh*t. When Dipset was f*cking turnt the f*ck up,” said Trinidad at his Converse Rubber Tracks performance. “What the f*ck happened? I remember when New York rap was the sh*t, and us in the south, us bamas, we was like ‘what the f*ck?’ and we just did our own thing. But now we run y’all, that’s crazy.”
Trinidad then tells the audience, ”I’m not trying to start nothing, but if you wanna do something we can do something cause I don’t give a f*ck. I’m just being honest with you… Now every n***a popping out of New York you might as well tell he from Atlanta.”

Rappers wearing skirts is nothing new — Kanye West has been spotted in a black leather one on multiple occasions, as has A$AP Rocky. However, the skirts worn by those emcees at least came down to the knee.
Trinidad James recently posed with Tiana and Stephanie from ‘Bad Girls Club 11′ while wearing what appears to be a jean skirt that only drops to mid-thigh. The picture has gone viral on Instagram and Twitter, with many people baffled by the Trinidadian rapper’s bold choice of attire.
