From TMZ:

Wiz filed the case against concert promoter It’s My Party, Inc., claiming the company booked the rapper to perform at George Mason University and pulled the plug at the last minute.

According to the suit … It’s My Party promised Wiz $85,000, plus a cut of the profits, but never paid. Now Wiz wants a cool million, claiming the cancellation seriously damaged his reputation — seriously.

It’s My Party has fired back, claiming Wiz is blowing smoke … ticket sales for the 7,000-seat arena tanked, plus the company never signed on the dotted line so it’s not obligated to pay anything.

Marco Rubio Quotes Jay-Z & Wiz Khalifa On Senate Floor

Why did Marco Rubio use lyrics from Hov & Wiz to push Rand Paul’s filibuster?

Because politics. This dude even quoted the f***in’ Godfather.

As of this writing, Rand Paul’s filibuster protesting potential legal drone assassinations on American soil was entering its eleventh hour. In addition to support across Twitter as well as lots of concern about when/how Paul’s going to the bathroom, the filibuster featured a memorable moment from the Republican Party’s number one rap fan, Marco Rubio. As the the filibuster’s resident wannabe Afrika Bambaataa scholar, Rubio peppered his speech with references to “modern day poet” Wiz Khalifa, Jay-Z, and the “I’m going to make him an offer he can’t refuse” scene in The Godfather. Let’s hope this filibuster never ends.
