A source close to Young Thug told Complex that the rising star was arrested yesterday. It was first reported that he arrested for a traffic violation, but it could be something more serious. The Atlanta Police Department isn’t giving out details surrounding the arrest, but details should become available in the near future.

@YoungThugWorld Has Signed To Cash Money (According to @MassAppeal)

In a new write-up for Mass Appeal, Brian Padilla claims that Young Thug has signed to Cash Money, after some speculation.  Thug had previously mentioned Cash Money and Future’s label Freebandz, but since Lil Wayne is his favorite rapper, this should come as no surprise.  You can read more below or head over to MassAppeal.com,  if you want the whole piece;

But he did perk up when I asked him if he officially signed to Cash Money. “Yo, is it official now? Are you signed to Cash Money?” Young Thug immediately turned away from about 50 flashing lights, searched for the dude who asked him what seemed to be the dumbest question in the world, and said, “Yeah. I signed.” Hearing this made my night, my weekend, my fucking year. Cash Money is a perfect place for Thug to grow, remain sexually elusive, and best of all make music with the dudes running hip hop right now. Drake, Young Thug, Lil Wayne all in one studio. I’m going to let you think on that while I pick up the pieces of my skull.

Young Thug telling me he signed to Cash Money doesn’t make it 100%, but it’s the first time we’re hearing anything definitive on the matter from the dude himself.

Young Thug in the Studio with @TopDollaSweizy

Young Thug hit the studio with NE DC’s TopDolla Sweizy last night after their show (Thug posted the photo above on his twitter.)  Sweizy has been plugged in to the Atlanta scene for a minute right now and is definitely going places.  Young Clip (who’s had a few bigger placements lately) did a beat for at least one of a few tracks.

Young Thug Talks Label Deals, Kanye West & Lil Wayne With Complex

Complex got to sit down with Young Thug recently to talk about possibly working with Kanye West, signing with Future, Fabo from D4L and more:

A lot of people will probably say you came out of nowhere this year.
They feel like I came out of nowhere, then I came out of nowhere then. [Laughs.] I been rapping since I was a little nigga, so no I didn’t come out of nowhere. I been doing it.

“Stoner” and “Danny Glover” have both become lowkey hits. What was it like to see the reaction for it, from seeing kids doing the nae nae to it to celebs rocking wit it?
“Danny Glover” was leaked out, I’m still mad to this day because I didn’t want to bring it out. I wanted people to think “Stoner” was a one-hit wonder and I wanted to crack their head with that. I’m glad it worked out the way it worked out, I’m booked up so I can’t be mad forever. It wasn’t even planned at all.

What was it like seeing Drake and Kanye rock out to “Danny Glover?”
That was amazing. It just made me turn up a little bit more.

Were you a big fan of Yeezus? I feel like you would appreciate some of the stuff he was doing on there.
I’m a big fan of everything that guy does because of who he is. It’s not even in my league to talk about it, cause I’m that that nigga too. So he can talk about him and I’ll talk about me.

But if Kanye calls and says “I want a Young Thug feature on this song” you’re there in no time, no?
I mean, I went to his house and we did a couple of songs. The fact that I was [making songs] so fast amazed him too, because he doesn’t see a lot of people who rap like that. I don’t really rap with a lot of people [because] everyone raps the same way. When I first heard he wanted to know who I was and do songs, I was smiling ear to ear like a clown.
