This is one of those samples where whoever was the first one to find it for a beat probably orgasmed on the spot from listening to it. Not to sounds blunt, but to hear it (which was released in 1972, by the way) will give you true understanding. The first time I caught on was relatively late, when 9th Wonder provided the backdrop for Ludacris’ ‘Do The Right Thing’ from Theater Of The Mind; that was 2008. MF Doom and one of his many aliases whipped up an instrumental 3 years earlier. What brought me back to this sample for the use of it on KingPen Slim’s latest project by Best Kept Secret (probably my favorite out of all three).
