From TBD.com:
It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost a year since go-go pioneer Anthony “Lil Benny” Harley died. The trumpet player/party starter, who played with Rare Essence, his own Little Benny and the Masters, and Chuck Brown over the course of his nearly 30-year career, passed away on May 30, 2010.
To celebrate his life and music, friends, family and fans will gather on May 29 at Marygold’s for a night of music from All Fazes, the group assembled by Harley’s longtime friend/collaborator Mark Lawson, along with members from Little Benny and the Masters and a collection of go-go all-stars, including Mike Muse, Tony Roper, Jungle Boogie, Rory “DC” Felton, Wendell Bacon, Ju Ju, John Cabalou, Terry Lambert, Ted “Buzzy” Pindell, Darren Grice, plus a special appearance by Harley’s son, Bryan.
Tickets are $20 and are available at Marygold’s and gogoradio.com.

A small-but-committed group of writers, bloggers and videographers that (mostly) exist and function all over the D.C. Metro area.
