After 19 seasons, 15 All-Star mentions and four NBA titles, Shaquille O’Neal says he’s retiring.
The former LSU star, 39, announced his intentions via Twitter with this message:
“We did it. 19 years baby. I want to thank you very much. That’s why I’m telling YOU first. I’m about to retire. Love you. Talk to you soon.”
O’Neal played for six pro teams – Orlando, the Los Angeles Lakers, Miami, Cleveland, Phoenix and Boston.
O’Neal won three NBA crowns with the Lakers and another with the Heat.
He finishes seventh on the scoring list with 28,596 points and 13th in rebounds with 13,099
