From Grape Juice:

Allegedly, the hit maker was miffed that standard contract stipulations between himself and the promoter were not fulfilled including: hotel arrangements, transportation to the venue, as well as the agreed upon compensation. While Kelly’s actions no doubt left his fans disappointed, he cannot be faulted for not living to his end of the bargain if the promoter(s) did not live up to theirs. This is a business after all.

Fantasia on the other hand was not so sympathetic towards Trey Songz‘s favorite artist’s antics of which she called “disrespectful”. The ‘Cornbread & Collard Greens’ singer told concert goers, “[I’m not going to give] you half of a song, I’ve come to give you your money’s worth. I found it a little disrespectful, but things don’t happen like that especially in my city.” If taken the time to read the fine print, Fantaisa would have realized that Kells was booked as the co-host of the event with Jermaine Durpi, not as a featured performer like herself.

Via Dupri’s YouTube video, “R. Kelly ain’t say nothing but 6 lines and got the hell on’ so somebody must have told R.Kelly. R.Kelly said ‘I don’t see nothing wrong with it and got the f**k out.”

Both artists made valid points from their opposing perspectives, however, perhaps maybe the fallout of Kelly’s actions could have been handled better by all parties involved.
