I am sad to report,  Sherman Hemsley has passed away earlier today at the age of 74. The cause of death is unclear, but TMZ reports he was discovered by his nurse at this El Paso home in Texas. Sherman Hemsley is known for his role as George Jefferson in the sitcom, The Jefferson.
