He may have ended up the runner-up in this year’s X Factor, but Jahmene Douglas is the latest contestant to sign a record deal.

While James Arthur has been contractually obliged to sign with Syco, Jahmene has decided to join Union J and Ella Henderson at Sony.

Announcing the news of the Lorraine show on Wednesday morning, the excited 22-year-old admitted he couldn’t believe what was happening to him.
