J:DC: The only ‘bodega’ I know about is a corner store, so how did you end up with the name Bodega Bamz?
Bamz: Because just like a bodega, it has everything you need. That’s how I treat my music…I’m very versatile.

J:DC: What Part Of New York Are You From?
Bamz: Spanish Harlem, New York.

J:DC: The “Say Amen” visual with A$AP Ferg was an absolute dope idea, but when I saw it, I thought, ‘wow, he must be really close with that church to let him shoot the video there…’
Bamz: [laughs] For the right price, you’d be surprised what you can pull off.

J:DC: I haven’t seen a Latino rap movement this strong since Terror Squad…how does it feel to be the next wave for Latin Hip-Hop?
Bamz: I’m honored, [although] it’s weird….growing up listening to them guys, I would’ve never thought I would be doing this.

J:DC: Is Ohla your family or just your manager?
Bamz: Ohla is my younger brother by blood.
