UPDATE: And there you have it.
****************************************
After signing MLB All-Star Robinson Cano, WNBA standout Skylar Diggins and NFL prospect Geno Smith, Jay-Z and his new Roc Nation Sports agency has landed NBA superstar Kevin Durant.
First reported by Sports Business Journal’s Liz Mullen, the four-time NBA All-Star and three-time NBA scoring champion has departed with agent Rob Pelinka of Landmark Sports to join Jay-Z’s company (according to Yahoo! Sports):
“KD doesn’t want a traditional NBA agent anymore,” a league source with knowledge of his thinking told Yahoo! Sports on Friday night. “He wants Jay-Z to handle his branding. …He had a chance to be with his idol and couldn’t say no.”
Once the deal is complete, Roc Nation Sports will land what many feel is the second best player in the NBA.
