It’s fight night, and we hope you’ll join us live from Foxwoods Resort for Saturday night’s WBA Middleweight Championship fight between Gennady Golovkin and Matthew Macklin.

Golovkin (26-0, 23 KO) is known as one of the fiercest and most dangerous punchers in boxing. After winning his share of the middleweight title in 2010, he has had difficulty finding willing opponents. The 31-year-old Kazakh fighter has won his last 13 fights inside the distance and looks to take the next step toward becoming a star tonight in Connecticut.

Macklin (29-4, 20 KO) has twice challenged for a world championship but was unsuccessful each time. In 2011, he lost a highly disputed majority decision to Felix Sturm in Germany. He followed up that performance by giving Sergio Martinez all he could handle—even scoring a knockdown—before wilting to the pressure in the 11th round.

The action starts at 9:45 p.m. ET on HBO.
