From the Shreveport Times:

A Winnfield resident is a suspect in the fatal shooting of Addarren Ross, the teen rapper better known as Lil’ Snupe, authorities say.

Winnfield police on Friday evening entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database three warrants for the arrest of Tony D. Holden, 36, on one count each of first-degree murder, armed robbery and illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Holden, who should be considered armed and dangerous, has relatives and/or associates in Winnfield, Texas and other parts of the nation, according to Winnfield police. He stands 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighs about 215 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.

Just after 4 a.m. Thursday, officers responding to a call to Maplewood Apartments in the 1900 block of South Jones Street in Winnfield found Ross, 18, had been shot at least twice in his torso. The Jonesboro resident was pronounced dead at the scene by Winn Parish coroner’s investigators.

An argument inside an apartment spilled outside; that’s where the shooting occurred, authorities said. “We are told they were betting on a video game,” Winnfield police Lt. Charles Curry told The Times Friday evening. “Supposedly he (Holden) robbed him (Ross) of money,” Curry said as explanation of the robbery charge.

Authorities consider Holden to be a violent offender. His rap sheet includes arrests on several drug charges, mostly involving cocaine, as well as one count each of forcible rape and second-degree kidnapping and two counts of aggravated battery with a dangerous weapon.
