The City Paper reports on all things “Bravehearts” via TMZ;

Aris Mardirossian, a wealthy patent investor and neighbor of Pigskins owner Dan Snyder in Potomac, Md., registered the name WASHINGTON BRAVEHEARTS on Oct. 17, and said in his trademark application that he plans to use it for “Entertainment in the nature of football games.”

That same day, Mardirossian also registered an LLC by the name of “WASHINGTON BRAVE HEARTS, LLC.”

The two rich men are apparently buds who joined forces to cut down trees on their lots a few years. (The county ultimately stymied their efforts, according to TMZ.)

Could Snyder be reneging on his commitment to “NEVER” change the team’s offensive name? Maybe, but the team released a statement saying there is no connection between the team and the trademark, according to Grant Paulsen,co-host of Washington Football Tonight. A team spokesman also said that Snyder doesn’t even know Mardirossian, which seems a bit dubious.
