Fa$t Life and Chopstars’ Slim K present Thrill of the Cha$e by Cata$trophic. Fa$t Life’s first lady raps and sings about topics like love and betrayal with multiple styles for her first project. The title track is one of my favorites, producer Gameface flips one of my favorite samples and covers dissapointment in men (specifically her father) and the “game.” Other standouts are “Love”, “Temptation” “Designer” “Watch Ya Step” featuring Bucky Malone…ok most of the tracks on this tape were great. I found “Pretty Squad” and “Lurkin”a little boring and too pop. “Scandal” was also not something I’d normally listen to but otherwise this was easily one of the best and well-rounded projects I have heard in a while. More great material from the Fa$t Life collective..definitely give this one a listen.
