Scott Boras Throws A Shot At Jay Z?
The Urban Daily reports:
As a hip-hop head, you already know Jay Z likes to air out his personal grievances on wax. Need we remind you of his diss tracks towards Nas, Prodigy of Mobb Deep, and the shots he’s taken at Lil Wayne and other lower level rappers. Now that Jay is taking his talents to the sports management arena, he’s taking shots at rival agents such as Scott Boras.
Boras is a legendary baseball agent who once represented New York Yankee Robinson Cano. Cano recently left Boras and signed with Roc Nation Sports. That move prompted Jay to taunt Scott Boras on the song “Crown,” where he rapped, “Scott Boras, you over baby! Robinson Cano, you coming with me!” Since spitting that line, people have been asking Scott Boars for a response, but he has remained quiet. However, he did send one small, but effective shot Jay Z’s way.
When someone asked Boras about how effective Jay Z would be negotiating with sports teams, Boras referenced Jay Z’s hit single “Empire State of Mind.” Boreas said, “When your agent wears a Yankee hat, When your agent wears a Yankee hat?” While at first glance, that’s not really a shot, but it most certainly is. Jay Z rapped, “I made the Yankee hat more famous than a Yankee can.”
So basically, Boras just said, “Jay Z, your diss was cute, but you still haven’t netted your artists $5 billion in deals and endorsements. Have a seat!” Ether 2.0?
