Gucci Mane Sued For Allegedly Double-Booking Shows

Gucci-Mane-Truth-Video-Still

From TMZ:

Empire Entertainment filed a lawsuit against Gucci — real name Radric Davis — claiming it paid him $22,500 to perform in Little Rock, Arkansas on November 22nd … but didn’t get their money’s worth. Here’s why:

Empire says prior to the gig, a nightclub in Tennessee began advertising a Gucci show for the same night — and says Gucci himself promoted it on Twitter.

Empire says it called Gucci’s people — who assured them, no TN gig was happening.

But the night of the concert, Empire says it became clear Gucci’s people lied … claiming the rapper only performed 3 songs (15 min of stage time) and then hightailed it 138 miles to perform at the other club. Then drove back to stay in the hotel Empire provided.

Empire says Gucci’s 2nd gig torpedoed their ticket sales. The company is suing for breach of contract and fraud. It wants all the cash it spent on his fee, hotel, travel and promotions.

50 Cent Gets Into It With A Member Of Meek Mill’s Entourage On Stage (Video)

50 Cent enjoys snatching the MixShow Live headlines. Tonight was no different. During the G Unit listening suite featuring Kidd Kidd and hosted by 50 Cent, Meek Mill made a surprise appearance which seemed to elate 50 until he noticed someone he was not too fond of. Black Twitter (how great are they?) confirmed during my live twitter rundown that the person with Meek Mill was upcoming, and former G Unit affiliate, artist Trav who had previous tiffs with 50.

As it turns out, Trav is extended “family” of Meek Mill and has no direct affiliation with the MMG star. Meek Mill went on to explain some history that he has with 50 and why his (50) beef with Rick Ross has nothing to do with Meek Mill. Watching the video above, it’s not hard to tell that Meek Mill had no intentions on causing trouble and genuinely went to support the G Unit boss. He even premiered to new exclusives from DC3 (stay tuned). – Queen Bobbi

Banoffee – Ninja (Video)

Two Bright Lakes is proud to release the debut film clip ‘Ninja’, from Banoffee.

Banoffee is the sweet solo sound of Martha Brown (Otouto), a Melbourne songwriter with a keen ear for vintage synthesizers and modern R-n-B.

Banoffee’s music recalls the balearic sounds of the 1980s and the futurist space of UK bass music, merging with her own arresting take on R’n’B, a musical place where Detroit inspired synths end up in love songs that sound distinctly modern.

Her debut single Ninja twists and starts, Martha’s voice taking you where you’d least expect. Regular collaborator Alice Glenn accompanies the song with an hypnotic and intimate clip shot in an otherworldly warehouse space.

Two Bright Lakes is very excited to be releasing the first of Banoffee’s music to the world, beautifully crafted, esoteric pop music from a strong female voice.

“Banoffee plies intimate ache into jams that still inspire dancefloor joy.”

Bitmap (@LukeBitmap) – Hypnotize

bitmap

Possibly the dopest description ever:

Look into my eyes. You might see that the pupils are spinning like a startled opossum. They’re not even following the swinging fob watch, dangling, left… right… left… right. Blank and fixed, like two brown pins in a pink map. Advertisements and remote lives play out on the TV in the corner.

Hypnotize is the brand new single from Bitmap, East Yorkshire’s enigmatic son. It’s a trance anthem without being a Trance Anthem. It’s the flickering image of a video tape on pause.

I’ll count backwards from ten. When I get to one, you’ll be feeling wide awake and refreshed…

Jeff Bhasker Disses Wale in Billboard Article

wale-ambition-listening-2
Everybody loves to hate Wale…Jeff Bhasker talks about Yeezus, Pink and how he thinks Kanye will be around in ten years and not Wale….more below, read the whole thing here.

You weren’t involved with “Yeezus,” but what was your take on the music?
I think it’s amazing. I think what came out was a fresh and awesome sound that was really challenging and innovative and exciting to listen to. It’s harder to listen to, but that’s why you’ll still be listening to it in 10 years, 20 years — not whatever else album came out today. I love Wale, but I don’t think that’s the music people are going to actually say, “That’s what defined this year.” That’s what Kanye does – over and over again.
