You know that Bad Boy lingo: after the original….it’s the remix, and French Montana adds a few of his friends on the track. You may remember Montana saying in February (while in D.C.) that Wale gave him the record….so in return, French gets Wale to jump on the remix.
ESPN Films aired their most recent installment in the 30 for 30 series with “Elway To Marino.” In the episode, we take a look at the 1983 NFL Draft which featured John Elway and Dan Marino being the first and last Quarterbacks selected in the 1st round.
While we also hear from the other four QB’s drafted — Jim Kelly, Ken O’Brien, Tony Eason & Todd Blackledge — this featurette’s main focus really stays on the two football Hall-of-Famers. Along with their agent Martin Demoff, we get a rare glimpse into the draft decisions and questions leading up to teams picks with the Baltimore Colts decision to keep Elway in comparison to trading him away.
Six Quarterbacks were drafted in the first round, but none more celebrated than the first pick, John Elway, and the last pick, Dan Marino. This is arguably our favorite ESPN 30 to 30 yet and with the NFL Draft set for tonight, the latest film is definitely one you will not want to miss out on.
Last night, EA Sports honored NFL Hall of Famer Barry Sanders as the next cover for the Madden video game. After they announced the cover, Kendrick Lamar hit the stage at the Hard Rock Cafe in NYC.
From MTV:
According to Swedish paper Aftonbladet a spokesperson for the Stockholm police department confirmed that around 7:10 p.m. local time an officer detected the smell of pot around Bieber’s bus, which was parked outside of the Grand Hotel. After the bus left the hotel on its way to the singer’s show at the Globe Arena, the officer contacted the narcotics unit, which issued a warrant to search the vehicle.
“A colleague felt a strong smell of marijuana, like someone had been smoking in the bus,” a press officer for the Stockholm PD told the paper.
An hour after Bieber took the stage, police searched the empty bus in the parking garage and found a small amount of narcotics, which local papers reported was marijuana, as well as a taser. At press time, no suspect has been identified yet and the bus was not impounded.

In part 2 Facemob talks to Nick Huff Barili about the current state of Hip Hop saying that he loves Kendrick Lamar but that older white executives that are in control of Hip Hop are not in touch with the streets and don’t care about the culture. Scarface goes on to say that he thinks its a conspiracy to make black people look stupid and brainwash a generation of hip hoppers with “this crud”. Scarface’s advice to upcoming artists is to uphold the integrity of the craft and not to let the executives dictate our culture. Scarface references how Chuck Berry and Robert Johnson helped found rock and roll and blues but how now both those genres are predominately white and have forgotten their black roots. He goes on to point out that its hard to name many all black rock bands making music today.
As the conversation topic changes, Facemob talks about recording and touring with Tupac who used to open for him. Scarface says Pac would have rode on a lot of people out now like Mitt Romney and that Pac was going to politicize his fan base before he was killed. Part 2 of this interview ends with Facemob sharing a story of the last time he spent time with Pac which was when they recorded the track Smile.

All I can really say is…..well….this is Baltimore. Holy shit:
Control of a Baltimore prison was effectively handed over to a group of gang member inmates who seduced and bribed the female guards.
Federal prosecutors say 13 female correctional officers, seven inmates and five others with gang ties have been charged with plotting to smuggle drugs, cellphones and other contraband into the Baltimore jail and other corrections facilities.
An indictment unsealed Tuesday said the ring also involved sex between inmates and guards that led to four of the officers becoming pregnant by Tavon White, leader of a jailhouse gang called the Black Guerrilla Family.
White, 36, allegedly fathered five children with the four female guards, who were identified as Jennifer Owens, 31, Katera Stevenson, 24, Chania Brooks, 27, and Tiffany Linder, 27.
The Washington Post reported that two of the officers in question got tattoos of White’s name, one on one officer’s neck and the second officer on her wrist.

There’s a lot of footage of Amy Winehouse at her best and her worst, and those clips are being used to create a documentary of the fallen star. From Hollywood Reporter:
Universal Music and acclaimed documentary filmmaker Asif Kapadia are teaming to bring the story of Amy Winehouse’s life and career to the big screen.
Focus Features International, a division within the Universal empire, will shop the high-profile project to foreign buyers at next month’s Cannes Film Market.
“This is an incredibly modern, emotional and relevant film that has the power to capture the zeitgeist and shine a light on the world we live in in a way that very few films can,” said Kapadia and Gay-Rees.

During this interview, Rocko talks about making money off of the artists we enjoy today (like Future & Young Dro – surprise – to name a few), the whole T-Pain/Future issue and more.
The video will come during the premiere of the interview tomorrow. I think we found the member of the group that will be struggling post-JLS….from Digital Spy:
Oritsé Williams breaks down in tears when talking about the group’s split on this week’s edition of Alan Carr: Chatty Man.
The singer has to be comforted by bandmate Marvin Humes when the pair appear with Aston Merrygold and JB Gill on the Channel 4 chat show.
Williams’s outburst comes after Merrygold admits that “reservations were had” when JLS made the decision not to commit to a new five-album deal.
“It’s real for us you know, even Ortisé’s reaction,” Merrygold said. “We’ve been through a hell of a lot… we don’t want to get pushed out of the industry, we want to obviously go out with a bang.”
Gill added: “It’s Ortisé’s baby effectively you know, he brought us together.”
Asked by Carr if he had been against the split, Williams replied: “It is what it is, I guess. The decision was made and we all felt it was the right thing to do.”
Explaining his emotional reaction, he continued: “It’s only because I saw the fans literally as we were coming in to see you and just seeing them cry and seeing them upset really evoked that emotion in me.
“But you know, it is a celebration. At the end of the day we’ve had an amazing six years together. We’ve been on a journey.
“Nobody else may have seen the hard times as well as the good times, but we’re the luckiest four boys in the world.”
