Black Teen Sues Over Arrest After Buying $350 Designer Belt

USANews reports:

A 19-year-old college student from Queens says he was handcuffed and locked in a jail cell after buying a $350 designer belt at Barneys on New York’s Madison Avenue because he is “a young black man.”
Trayon Christian told NBC 4 New York on Wednesday that he saved up from a part-time job for weeks to buy a Salvatore Ferragamo belt at Barneys.

When he went to the store to buy it in April, he says the checkout clerk asked to see his identification. After the sale went through and he left the store, he was approached by police about a block away, and asked “how a young black man such as himself could afford to purchase such an expensive belt,” according to a lawsuit filed Tuesday in Manhattan Supreme Court.

Kanye West Proposes To Kim Kardashian (Video)

TMZ reports:

Here it is … the video of Kanye West begging Kim Kardashian in the most grandiose way possible to become his lawful wedded wife.

Kanye and Kim were planted on the infield at AT&T Park in San Francisco Monday night when he got down on his knee and popped the question, while an orchestra played in the background.

The hug that ensues tells the story … Kim said yes, she got a 15-carat diamond ring and they went off into the sunset and drank a lot.

Eminem Shares New Details On ‘MMLP2′ With Rolling Stone

eminemrollstone

Eminem shared some new information on his upcoming album The Marshall Mathers LP 2 with Rolling Stone. Below is the except from the interview that is set to hit newsstands November 7th. MMLP2 hits stores November 5th.

On his approach to the album:

[‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2’ is] not necessarily a sequel, as much as it is a revisitation. So there’s not gonna be, like, continuations of every old song on there or anything like that. To me, it’s more about the vibe, and it’s more about the nostalgia.

On pressures and process of making the album:

Calling it The Marshall Mathers LP 2, obviously I knew that there might be certain expectations. I wouldn’t want to call it that just for the sake of calling it that. I had to make sure that I had the right songs — and just when you think you got it, you listen and you’re like, ‘F*ck, man! I feel like it needs this or that,’ to paint the whole picture.

@BlackCobain – The Prelude (Video)

Black Cobain releases ‘The Prelude’, from his upcoming mixtape Perfect Contradiction, which is set to drop on November 3rd. The tape will be hosted by The Board Adminstration & LRG. In the above visual, Black Cobain gives us a tour of his neighborhood around VA. I really like this record and can’t wait to hear the full project.

“Cadence” & “Tizer” – Fractures

Fractures

“Cadence” & “Tizer” – Fractures

Fractures in general is #goodmusic. His last song “Twisted” was easily one of my favorite this past year.

These 2 new songs, “Cadence” and “Tizer”, are pretty dope too though (although still no comparison to “Twisted” & “Embers”, my 2 favs of his). …But still. Never-the-less, its good music. (The hook on “Cadance” is especially great!)

Fractures is an outstanding vocalist and his melodies are crazy. That, along with some awesome production hinting at Pearl Jam (you can really hear it in “Tizo” & “Embers”), makes Fractures music something really special to listen to. So Check it out, and if you were diggin either one of the new tracks, make sure to definitely check out some Fractures’ other material. It’s even better!

…I’ll post it all for you though, so don’t worry. Just Enjoy…

“In The City” – Thelonious Martin x Evan Holt

“Aight… I got the heavy groovin…” Gritty raps with a gangsta 70’s groove. #ChicagoSoul …Loved this.

avatars-000027346350-engar3-t500x500Held down nicely with the rhymes by Evan Holt, but the real beauty of this track comes from the production of rising star Thelonious Martin.

“Gathering influence from J Dilla, Madlib, MF DOOM, Pete Rock, Just Blaze, and The Alchemist Thelonious Martin brings a sound like no other.”

#PureCocaine …The samples are too dope!

So if you’re into that smooth old school / new school feel, check “In The City” out. Posted it below. Enjoy…
