It’s Official: The ‘More about Nothing’ Show
Well, it’s official!! Wondering why he’s not doing the show in DC?? Because (as he states on Twitter) he has done 930 Club like 7 times.
(Jon’s Note: I don’t care if he performed in the 930 Club 700 times, he just got through explaining how he is the face of Hip-Hop for D.C., and this IS his city. The exclusivity should be here.)

Trae Day 2010

From IAP TV, in its entirety:
July 22nd marks the 3rd anniversary of “Trae Dayâ€, an honor bestowed upon rapper Trae Tha Truth by City Hall for his never-ending support and charitable works within Houston’s less fortunate communities. This year’s celebration will be held at the former International Ballroom, located at 14035 Main Street, Houston, TX and will be Trae’s biggest event yet. The roster of performers expected include Lupe Fiasco, Yo Gotti, Wacka Flocka, Sean Garret, Young Buck and members of Young Money, as well as Trae himself, brother Jay’Ton and Big Pokey. Hosts for the event include DJ Khaled, Sirius’ Angela Yee, former Party 93.3 jock Crisco Kidd and comedian, Lil Duval and the entire event is once again free to the public.
Trae and his non-profit, Angels By Nature/A Better Neighborhood, will also be sponsoring a host of family entertainment to include train rides, pony rides and face painting as well as free school supplies and uniform items. Booths will also be set up for free HIV testing, immunizations and blood and glucose level screenings.
With last year’s Trae Day event being marred by an act of senseless violence, in which several people were injured, this year the entire event will be dedicated to a rally aimed to “Stop Teen Violenceâ€, a growing problem in our nation, in the hopes that Houston’s young people can be encouraged to find alternative outlets to express their anger and frustration, by the people they most admire.
Donations for Trae Day’s school uniform and supplies giveaway are being accepted at both Houston locations of SF2 (North side location – 215 West Greens Road, Houston 77067) and (South side location – 7204 Southwest Fwy, Houston, 77074.) They will be accepting donations of school uniform items and school supplies such as backpacks, notebooks, binders, crayons, pencils, math supplies etc. and the drop-off locations will be active until Tuesday, July 20th. A full list of donation items needed is below.
ITEMS BEING ACCEPTED FOR TRAE DAY DONATIONS
– School Supplies
– Glue
– Pens
– Pencils
– Paper
– Markers
– Crayons
– Backpacks
– Folders
– Binders
– Pencil cases
– Uniforms
– Tan or black pants
– White polo shirts
– Black belts
– White socks
– Youth sizes solid black or solid white shoes
Media is encouraged to attend and can RSVP their coverage intentions to Nancy Byron, OGPR, (832) 220.6071 or nancyb@ogpr.net
I hope this year’s event becomes an even bigger one than the last, without the violence. I’m still not over the immaturity and downright foolishness of that other radio station.
