Skrillex Featured In G Star RAW’s Latest Campaign

G-Star has teamed up with Skrillex for their latest campaign titled ‘The Art of Raw’. For the campaign, a short animated video was created showcasing the denim manufacturing process. From cotton to yarn, from the dying process to weaving the warp and weft, each step is necessary in creating a distinctive denim fabric.

Supra Presents The Trill-Star Pack

For  Allstar weekend, Supra Presents the “Trill-Star” Pack. A part of the “Trill-Star” Pack is the Supra S1W representing the East, and the Supra Stacks representing the West. The shoes are constructed in red and blue, respectively, with suede and leather materials used on each. The shoes pays homage to co-collaborator Bun B, with the names “Stevie Trilliams” and “Trill Kennedy” found on each. Also, the hang tag showcases the H-Town Sneaker Summit, founded by Bryan Angelle, which is one of the biggest sneaker events of the year. Adidas Originals By Jeremy Scott (Spring/Summer 2013)

Waaaaaaaayyyy too trippy for me, but you might dig it:

Not one to shy away from the outlandish, Jeremy Scott always brings his unique perspective of fashion to the table, often referencing pop culture from the past to the present. Forming a tight-knit relationship with adidas Originals since 2003, Jeremy continues to design unisex apparel and footwear that is high energy, surreal and most certainly fun, playing with bright prints and unexpected shapes.

Jeremy Scott’s spring/summer 2013 collection is as eccentric as ever with influences from mystical feathered creatures to billiard balls. An all-over eagle print carries throughout the collection and is executed on Jeremy’s signature winged high top shoe. Other highlights include the JS chain cage track top with cut-out body and basketball jerseys reinterpreted with uneven hems, fringing and woven fabrics. His affinity for animals continues: there’s a leopard headpiece and a pair of sneakers adorned with sunglass-wearing poodles.

…Production duo TNGHT (Lunice & Hudson Mohawke) released their new song “R U Ready.” If the song sounds familiar, Kanye purchased the bouncy tune early last year, using it to score his Fall/Winter 2013 collection runaway show at Paris Fashion Week 2012. At the time many speculated it was a song set to appear on G.O.O.D. Music’s Cruel Summer compilation album.

Nicki Minaj and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, will be expressing their personal style in a huge way this year. According to Minaj’s official fansite MyPinkFriday.com, the two pop stars have announced new long-term relationships with Sears Holding on Monday (January 7).

Minaj and Levine, in conjunction with Kmart and the ShopYourWay.com social shopping platform, will each launch their own multi-department lifestyle brand. Each star will design their apparel and accessories collections, which will then be sold exclusively at select Kmart locations and ShopYourWay.com early this year.

Romeo Beckham Becomes The New Face Of @Burberry

The 10 year old son of Victoria and David Beckham has become the new face of fashion line Burberry, being featuring in to post and video adds in the line’s 2013 threads:

“This season’s campaign lights up with the infectious energy of an amazing young cast of old and new Burberry family,” shares creative officer Christopher Bailey. ”[And] Romeo … was a joy to work with and really stole the show.”

It really shouldn’t be much of a surprise, as David and his boys (Brooklyn, 13, Romeo, 10, and Cruz, 7) all suited up in Burberry this past week.

Review: The Stevie Williams S1W by Lil Wayne

Back In February, Lil Wayne sat down with Vibe and let the cat out the bag about his first signature shoe. He told the magazine that it would be with a big shoe company but it wasn’t Nike or Reebok. In April, Lil Wayne announced a shoe deal with Supra while he was on MTV’s POV. Lil Wayne’s S1w Supra is the second collaboration shoe the company has did with a celebrity this year. It’s also Lil Wayne’s first shoe with Supra. The first sneaker collaboration that Supra released this year was with Grammy winning producer Just Blaze that was a limited release of only 413 pairs.

Stevie Williams was the one who plugged Lil Wayne with the deal at Supra. After the deal with Supra was finalized, Williams asked Lil Wayne to do a shoe colorway with him. Lil Wayne & Stevie Williams S1W Supra represents their friendship between Lil Wayne and Stevie, but also a mixture of skateboarding and hip-hop. Look for more sneakers to launch in the Lil Wayne Supra line next year.

The S1W is an all red/ white colorway which Lil Wayne reps heavily. The shoe comes in all red upper completed with suede & leather along with the over and upper layers. Supra added an all-white sole for a clean mix to a shoe with white owl eye shapes laces. The shoe has custom “PRESIDENT” (left) and “CARTER” (right) in the insoles of the sneaker, white accents, padded red mesh lining and tongue.

I received my S1W in the mail from Supra last week, I haven’t had the chance to wear them out yet but I have worn them around the house to get some wear in them. I am not a skateboarder but an avid sneakerhead and find these shoes to be very comfortable. I recommend that you pick these up.

So you know damn well we got that good green rolled up and took a trip eastward to Newham before D Double E & Footsie came through to the Dope Chef boat store and got real trippy with us. The East London-based streetwear brand was established in 2009 by graffiti artist and graphic designer Krae. The brand reflects the true essense of street culture lifestyle and haute cross culture fashion influnce that has flourished on the streets of London since the mid 80’s. Kraezy’s in-depth reflection of the culture is based upon influences drawn from Krae’s lifestyle and childhood upbringing.

On 11th October, after 3 years of independently pushing the brand via independent outlets, Kraezy has launched its first flagship store and showroom (31 Commercial Road London E1 1DL).

The above commercial — which coincided with the store launch — was created to reflect the crude character of the brand and its ethos. The ad features critically acclaimed London street rapper Joe Black and producer Westy.
