T-Pain Reveals That Kanye West Wrote A Diss Track Aimed At Him

From Vlad TV:

T-Pain elaborates on why he said he wouldn’t buy Kanye West a gift after the birth of his daughter, explaining that when he was working on “808’s & Heartbreak,” Kanye penned a diss track aimed at specifically at him. To make matters worse, he reveals that the “Mercy” rapper got the entire studio to join in on the song while T-Pain sat in agony.

The “Up Down” rapper also shares his thoughts on Kanye’s line of Confederate flag clothing that was sold during his “Yeezus” tour, explaining that he’s not too worked up over it. Being from Florida, T-Pain claims that he wore Confederate shirts when he was younger because they were cheaper, adding that he’s from a younger generation that wasn’t concerned with the meaning of the flag.

Richard Sherman Addresses Being Called A ‘Thug’ In Press Conference

From Huffington Post:

Richard Sherman’s own words may have made him the center of attention but it is the language of his critics that is now under fire. The Seattle Seahawks’ talented and talkative cornerback struck back at those who called him a “thug” for his demeanor during a loud and proud post-game interview after the NFC Championship Game on Sunday.

“The only reason it bothers me is because it seems like it’s the accepted way of calling somebody the N-word nowadays,” Sherman said during a press conference on Wednesday. “It’s like everyone else said the N-word and they said ‘Thug’ and they’re like, ‘Ah, that’s fine.’ That’s where it kind of takes me aback and it’s kind of disappointing.”

Sherman stepped into the national spotlight by following up a win-sealing defensive play with a boastful, postgame rant directed at San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree. The emotional, candid interview with Andrews — one that took place just moments after the conclusion of a heated football game between division rivals — sparked a Twitter firestorm. On Monday, the interview and the reaction it sparked remained a hot topic of conversation. As measured by iQ Media1, the word “thug” was uttered more times on U.S. television on Monday, 625, than it had been on any other day in three years, reported Deadspin. According to iQ Media1 findings, the Boston television market led the nation with 36 uses on Monday. As noted by Deadspin, many of those “thug” mentions occurred while Sherman was discussed during the television broadcast of WEEI’s “Dennis & Callahan” radio program.

“What’s the definition of a thug really?” Sherman asked reporters on Wednesday before comparing his antics to those of players involved in the recent NHL line brawl between the Vancouver Canucks and Calgary Flames. “Maybe I’m talking loudly and doing something I’m not supposed to. But I’m not … there was a hockey game where they didn’t even play hockey. They just threw the puck aside and started fighting. I saw that and said, ‘Oh, man. I’m the thug? What’s going on here?'”

A 25-year-old graduate of Stanford, Sherman is in his third season in the NFL and has already been twice named a first-team All Pro. Despite his education and his professional accomplishments, Sherman told reporters on Wednesday that he has had to continually deal with preconceived notions about him since he grew up in hardscrabble Compton, Calif.

“I know some ‘thugs,’ and they know I’m the furthest thing from a thug,” Sherman said. “I’ve fought that my whole life, just coming from where I’m coming from. Just because you hear Compton, you hear Watts, you hear cities like that, you just think ‘thug, he’s a gangster, he’s this, that, and the other,’ and then you hear Stanford, and they’re like, ‘oh man, that doesn’t even make sense, that’s an oxymoron.’ You fight it for so long, and to have it come back up and people start to use it again, it’s really frustrating.”

Freddie Gibbs Continues To Slander Jeezy

gibbs

This was in a recent interview with XXL, which you can check out here….the Jeezy shit is below.

On Why He’s Still Going After Jeezy:
“Honestly, I can give two fucks about Jeezy. I ain’t got nothing to prove to Jeezy. From a rap standpoint, I gotta say what’s going on. I gotta say how I feel. If I don’t like a motherfucker, I’m not about to act like I like a motherfucker. For the media, I ain’t about to act like I like a motherfucker. For this fake ass Hollywood shit, I’m not doing that. I flat out don’t fuck with dude. He a liar. That is what it is. To me, it’s not real. Until you formally make that shit right with me…all the motherfucker gotta do is [say], “My bad, Gibbs.” But, motherfuckers act like I am crazy or some shit. I’m not about to make the media make me think I am crazy. I am not about to let motherfuckers trick me into [thinking], “Oh man, why are you doing that?” That’s how I feel about that punk ass nigga, and any other rap nigga that I got a motherfucking issue with. I’ma motherfuckin’ put they ass on blast, nigga.

“I say shit when I want to say it, how I want to say it. Until I’m done talking about that shit, I’ma speak on it. I think I got one more shot to bust in that clip. When I bust that shit, it’s over with. However it come out, I talk shit about a motherfucker in an interview. I talk shit about a motherfucker on the radio. I talk shit about a motherfucker on TV. I talk shit about a motherfucker in a song. I don’t give a fuck. Like I said, man, all a motherfucker gotta do is be square with Gibbs. I am one of the easiest guys to deal with. I think I get the reputation that I am difficult to deal with because I dealt with so many pussy ass niggas in this industry. So that’s why I stick to myself. I don’t really deal with too many rap niggas and all that shit. Because at the end of the day, most of these niggas frauds. There’s niggas that I got songs with that I really don’t fuck with no more. These niggas, you just see their true colors.”

DJ Mister Cee Comes Further Out Of The Closet In GQ

GQ recently did an interview with the legendary DJ Mister Cee, who decided to provide a little more detail into his now-public hobby of having oral sex with transsexuals. It’s an excellent read, which you can check out here; below is probably the most telling excerpt from the editorial:

“…I started tricking in the strip clubs. I don’t know if you know what tricking is—you’re taking [the girls] out the club”—literally right outside the club—“and you’re having sex with them.” He’d do it in places where he wasn’t liable to be recognized, usually spots around downtown Manhattan “where white guys was going,” he says.

It’s hard to say how the “other thing,” as Cee sometimes calls it, got started. But he knows when: “Around 2005, 2006.”

Though it is perhaps hard to believe him, he says it never occurred to him until he started doing it. It wasn’t a long-held fantasy or a desire he’d held at bay for a while and then succumbed to. But soon he found himself on Christopher Street, a couple of blocks from the Hot 97 [offices], nearly every weekend, “out there—like, really out there.”

He never really asked himself why he was doing it and still can’t entirely explain why he was drawn to this specific, highly particular thing. This conversation we’re having right now, over shrimp and fried rice, is only the second or third time he’s ever actually tried to put it into words. Certainly it’s the first time he’s told the story to a reporter. “The best way I can explain it is that I was so knee-deep into doing it that it became a part of me,” he says.

“It’s also the rush of: Get horny, A and B—you know, one plus one equals two. You get horny, go out, go get your shit off. It became a part of my routine. Even though I was fearful, there was a part of me that felt invincible, too.”

Miguel Speaks On Writing Beyoncé’s ‘Rocket’

From VIBE:

Unless you’re asexual (or Keri Hilson), it’s impossible to hear Beyoncé’s “Rocket” and not feel an intense urge to invite your guy/gal/cutty buddy over to do the no-pants dance. And according to the song’s author, the song was written with that in mind.

Miguel, who penned Bey’s 2013 update to D’Angelo’s rhetorical classic “Untitled (How Does It Feel),” says he was challenged by Mrs. Carter to push the envelope with some of her most risqué lyrics yet.

“I’ll never forget the conversation I had with Beyoncé and her insisting that nothing was off-limits,” Miguel tells VIBE. “And me being like, ‘Oh yeah, you sure? Because I can really take it there.'”

And take it there he did. Once Miguel got the OK from Yonce, he came up with the song’s definitive opening line: “Let me sit this ass… on you.”

“What’s the first thing I’d want Beyoncé to say to me, as a man? What have I not heard her say?” Miguel recalls thinking. “That’s where the song came from. And essentially it’s what all of us would want Beyoncé to say to us—no disrespect, obviously, to Jay.”

Miguel just might be on to something (see the lustful slow-mo video for “Rocket”). But his record isn’t the only track on Beyoncé that shows off her sensual side. She sings about cunnilingus on “Blow” and returns the favor in the backseat of a car on “Partition.” “Drunk In Love,” her duet with hubby Jay Z, even popularizes a sex position (Serfbort!).

“She’s confident and [“Rocket”] showcases that part of her that we haven’t seen—her confidence and her sexuality—which can be liberating to a certain degree,” says Miguel, who is hard at work on his Kaleidoscope Dream follow-up. “I hope that’s why she loves the record—that’s why I love the record.”

He adds: “She’s a beautiful woman and that’s why even women love her… She just rocked everyone’s world.”
