Nicky Bleu – Testimony (Video)
Maryland artist Nicky Bleu forced me to break my rule of not posting freestyles over popular songs. Although this song is a few months old, Nicky’s version of Kodak’s “Testimony”, shot by Hidden Images DC, shines above. Smooth falsetto singing about Lean plugs overdosing and family tragedy show versatility that you rarely see in a freestyle. I hope to hear more from him soon, ideally with his talented friends like Knuklehead, Yung Wack and Murrrland.

Lavish The MDK – Do That Shit Again
Lavish The MDK has been on the cusp of wide-spread popularity for a few years now. From Kodak Black collaborations to his 2017 single “Vision Clear”, with Lil Baby, which ended up on a Quality Control album later that year, the Florida Rapper has a style influenced by Pop and today’s R&B. This approach meshes perfectly with the production on his new single, “Do That Shit Again”, by Schife and Ben Billions (best known for “6 Inch” by Beyonce and Gotti’s “Down In The DM”). Listen to the track below, alongside a description from Lavish himself.
“Me, LunchMoney, Ben Billion$, and Schife were cooking up late night in the studio like we always do, and as soon as I heard the beat I got a vibe. Lil Pahokee’ The Mixtape coming soon. For now, just enjoy these loosies.”
