Worlds collide as Goo and Tay link up with Baraq for a new video, “Humble.”
DJ Torch and Fat Rodney came together to unite their side of DC for an amazing compilation (based on things like this.) Essentially every rapper or group to come out of Northeast DC in the last 5 years is represented on the first installment of the Norfeazt Of The Torch compilation. Everyone I can think of (and more) from Northeast is on here, from Fat Trel, the Slutty Boyz, to Baraq, Sweizy, Mike Brown Da Czar, Tokyo Daimo, Hard Workin’ Ent., Da Big Fella, Chugaloo, Lundy Dior, Monopoly KP, etc. And it isn’t just a compilation for continuity’s sake, this is all heat from these rappers. Check it out because it’s some of the best music out of DC right now. Oh and by the way, this version of “Northeast Shit” was produced by Rick Flare, the original unreleased version was done by ILL Wonka.
If you’re out at BC Fest today, here is a map of the venue, via Broccoli City themselves, for those interested. Enjoy
We’ve heard whispers of Lyquin being the “next big thing” out of this area. Whether that will come to pass or not, he has flown mostly under our radar for some time and we’re trying to fix that. This is his six-track EP that was released at the top of the year, with a standout collaboration with Nipsey Hussle and beats fr LG, Mark Hennry, Heavy and Kid Excluzive.
Shy Glizzy has gone “Too Far.” Today hendrops a new song presumably from the upcoming Young Jefe 2 project. Produced by Goose and featuring G Herbo, the slower, haunting, cinematic “Too Far” is a sign of what’s to come with Young Jefe 2…
A new year brings a new Big Fella and some new heat with his latest single “OK.”
Washington, D.C.’s native son, Fatz Da Big Fella, releases a club banger hit with his new single release “OK.” “OK”is the first single from FATZ Da Big Fella’s newest project, which will be released later this year. After losing an astounding 110 pounds, because he decided to live a healthier lifestyle for his kids and his career, FATZ Da Big Fella decided it was time to give the industry just what it needed -more music from him. This new hit single “OK” comes with catchy rhymes and a strong beat. The song paints a vivid picture of the VIP club lifestyle Fatz Da Big Fella is no stranger to. The new single “OK” will drop on Soundcloud, Spinrilla, and Tunecore on April 12.

Oochie drops two new freestyles (RIP Bankroll) and a new banger with P-Wild.
Is Hoodrich Pablo on now? If not he should be. Designer Drugz was a classic, I’m sure part two will be more of the same.
I Really don’t know what to say about this new Big Flock song. Except that it’s a perfect example of why he’s one of the best in this area. ILL Wonka did the beat of course, you can hear the originality in the lyricism and production. It’s hard to believe this is only the first collaboration between these too. Hopefully, more music is on the way.
Wild and Grady are back with more freestyles, more quotables, more quality raps.
Just before he got bagged, Fat Trel hopped in the studio for his take over Future’s 2015 hit “March Madness” to address rumors about him using counterfeit money. Hopefully all his legal troubles are resolved so he can work on SDMG 2.
Bonus;
ABC 7 Is reporting that Trel was booked by Arlington County, Virginia police last night for speeding and driving on a revoked license night near Alexandria, off of I-395. Trel might also have been charged with a DWI and narcotics distribution, more news as it comes in.
Goo Glizzy and Mike Brown Da Czar shoot a visual for one of my favorites off of the Mad Max mixtape. 100 Mz shot the visual, J5 on the beat. It’s nice to see a music video with some substance too…
Tate Kobang brings Baltimore to the world with the Since We’re Here mixtape, where he collaborates with people like Baltimore natives FBG Test and Blaqstarr to put together a crazy project full of hits.
